So let me get this straight, we will save about 1100 lives a month because people will not being dieing in car accidents.
I wonder how many children will die from starvation because mom or dad can't afford the gas to look for a job.
Nice twist.

Perfect example of how the liberal media skews everything.

Gas prices are ridiculous, we need to do something about it. I don't think Obama has done enough about it either.

the only thing I'll say about the video is that it's silly to say that Gas was 1.87 when he took office cuz it just wasn't. It may have dropped done to 1.87 around that time, but it's not like it was 1.87 forever before that. There were some crazy high prices before then too. Here's a link to a chart you can check out if you need to.

http://gasbuddy.com/gb_retail_price_chart.aspx

Personally I just wish people would just be honest about this shit instead of creating false bullshit up about it. In my opinion, that's one of the biggest things wrong with politics. Unfortunately, that's the way it is and I doubt I'll see the end of it.

I have a theory about why you don't hear about it anymore, but it doesn't have anything to do with a left wing media conspiracy. The truth is, people have gotten used to gas prices over 3 dollars a gallon and it's not as big of an issue. I bet if they jumped up past 4 dollars a gallon, it's all you'd hear about.

It is because the media will do everything it can to not draw attention to the failings of Obama. Its called media biased, you cannot believe them.

I.....I.....fuck.....I agree.

People have been desensitized to it and now they just deal with it. Think about all the changes that were like, "OMG, OHNOZ!!!" and now its like, "meh, whatev". Think of the outrage smokers had when cigarettes went over like $2 a pack or whatever. Now they are like $6 and people just deal with it an puff away.

Gas just went from $3.45 yesterday to $3.69. All I did is shrug and swipe the card.

I know I'm a lazy fat ass, but look at it this way. Take however many miles a gallon of gas will take you in your current vehicle and ask your self, "Am I willing to walk X miles instead of paying $3, $4, $5, etc...?"

If enough Americans are that small minded and short sighted, which they are, and he gets reelected because gas prices are low, which he will, whatever horrible things come about for this country, which they will, will be totally deserved.

Gasoline is one market where it has an inelastic demand curve. A large change in the price of gasoline, is going to cause a relatively low change in amount of gas bought. I believe 100% with what mikesova said, but i dont believe it is 100% because of the media. People need gas, as we depend on it daily. Since the demand is inelastic, no matter what the price is, people are still going to buy it. Yea, we get pissed when it jumps $1.00 or so at a time, but honestly, we need gas, and theres nothing we can really do to make it go down. Unless you buy a hybrid, and in that case, you must be gay.....(that was a joke). Buying a fuel effiecent car doesnt change the gas prices though. It just makes the dent in your wallet smaller. I feel liike im just rambling now, lol, so im gonna stop.

Well, this makes sense, but Abe's last post was so convincing, I've definitely
changed my stance. It is definitely a left wing conspiracy.

Abraham is becoming the new you. I immediately ignore and discount what he has to say in insert comments about seagulls and Batman and Robin when he posts.

I don't think I was ever as bad as aber, but to my defense, I was a 20 something college kid who knew everything. ;) I have learned to look at both sides of an issue. I feel like I've become flexible and able to change my mind based on reasonable thought out debate.

How old is Abe?

And so it begins...

On Wednesday he proposed -- not for the first time -- getting rid of tax loopholes that benefit oil and gas companies.
How exactly is that going to lower prices? Less tax loop holes = more operating cost = lower profit margin = unhappy oil company. It seems to me screwing them out of tax loop holes will just shift that onto the consumer and in turn give Washington more operating capital.

Am I missing something there?

Nice twist.
Yes that is. They only want you to see the situation the way they see it. Twisted so far out of reality, that if a normal person would just listen and think for them self, they would see that it is a bunch of bullshit! I am still stuck on how the dem's think that pissing our money away on higher gas prices is a GOOD thing. They need to be hit in the head with a tack hammer and then told they are too retarded to be in office!
