yeah same here i keep contemplating upgrading the front shock. I really like the frame and I am fine with a hard tale but my front shock is definitely lacking but i think i only put 100 miles on it this year :/

i have a Giant Talon.

At 6'3" I'm still on my 26er. Tried a 29er out, I want, hopefully in a year or two.

I bought the specialized hard rock sport, the dork in me wanted hydraulic brakes, I figure I can upgrade the front shock if needed later.

Same here. So far so good. The only thing I don't like is I can't lock the front fork while riding.

Had 29 new ride is a 26. I've only found one instance where I missed the the extra height and I rode a lot this year.

The money I saved by getting a 26 over 29 got me a much better set of components.

I have a specialized hardrock sport 29er I got a couple years ago. My front shock has a lockout on it.

He said he couldn't lock it out while riding. I noticed this too on my test ride, if the shock is compressed even a little you can't lock it out, which makes sense but depending on the terrain could suck

I got me a cheap walmart special. Other than the tires it works fine for where I ride and how often. Think I had maybe 30 miles on it this summer. Got it for $75
