I've decided tire size so many times is such a small part of the whole challenge thing...
Driver and/or spotter ability may or may not make it happen, the other thing is weather plays a role ...sometimes its muddy, as long as the majority of the ride isn't mud heck thats part of the fun! Either its a rock crawl or race is the question? Timed rock crawl events where the competitor gets a time after the completion of each of the rock crawl places or all-out see ya at the end.... -heres your start time first one done wins- with challenges all along the way! If its all-out and they break, fix on the trail or drag it in after the race, everyone else continues (they can help if they choose) often a loop that passes the repair rig is nice for a pit stop on the way if needed. That's my 2 cents! It would be an awesome place for either one or both! The best to you! Would love to join in the fun, had a great time up there last year!

sounds like a great time curly. but yes keep in mind that the tough obstacles will become bottle necks. and helmet hill maybe you ould offer up as a bonus line on the last lap for a time reduction. say some guys are real close in times if they think its worth a shot on the last lap they could shoot the bonus gate at the finish for a 5 minute ovarall time reduction or something like that. think that little town would care of you cone off some of the dirt roads for some highspeed areas to pass. LOL

not to many gravel roads near us but i would set up the course so there would be spots to pass not sure if i could get helmet hill on the course there is only one way in and its the same coming out.but i will try to design the course so there would be a bonuos section to make up time.

keep the ideas coming

Why is there only one way in and out of helmet hill? Is the drop into the river too steep now?

ya it got pretty chewed up in the last few years, not to many people will drive down and going up is not happening.it was originally a exit but a couple of locals kept going back to it and pretty much destroyed it

I don't understand. He got written on the highway or on the private land? No one is going to a comp, they're going to wheel on private land in Canada.

Question

Done my share of comps, and the best in my opinion would be a long course hitting all your highlighted spots taking up to 30 total for each competitor (assuming you start early enough). Then afterwards your typical wheeing for the rest of the weekend. Another way would be to break it up into 2-4 sections over 2 days. A night section might be fun too. Will you limit the number of competitors to make it manageable? Have people send you $$ for registration, so you know who is serious and who is full of BS. Will it be 100% payback? How much entry? I say $50-$100.....more if you can get it. One or multiple classes?

Can't wait...

Do I need a USDOT Number?
If you operate a truck for business purposes with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) or a truck and trailer with a gross combination vehicle weight rating (GCWR) of 10,001 lbs. or more, you need a USDOT number.

Note: Trucks used strictly for personal (non-business) or recreational use do not require a USDOT Number!

■is this watt u were talking about? runway park has sleds and motorbike races all the time which americans compete and i am pretty sure if they win they dont get charged or fined or they wouldn't be coming over here

i was thinking anywhere to 20-30 rigs ,not sure on entry fee cash for first place and prizes for 2nd & 3rd.This year it's goning to be one day,one class unless there was enough commited for two, but thinking one for now I am thinking long course 30-40 min per lap probally 5 laps but have to wait for snow to go to time it.Rember it not set in stone yet. Will also probably looking for some volunteers.

small group 10 trucks, start at the same time, way point race, good maps, 1 or 2 laps, from the back side of Curleys land to helmet hill, to look out rocks (big rocks top of big hill..lol) down the waterfall back through the creeks to the cabin, up curleys hill, back to start, the rules are simple.... there are no rules, first one back wins!
