I'm in

I think your property it would have to be a crawling type race no way you have the room for a high speed race.

I think that it would be a fun spot to have an event. I think that you would get the best turnout if you did a few crawl sections vs. a long loop... Pick some technical areas and have a shoot-out style where the x amount of people with fastest time/most points move to the next round, say 3 or 4 rounds. Could just be one catagory, or maybe two (Unlimited or under 40's).

endurance for sure!!!

endurance dosn't mean high speed. I would create a tough loop that takes from 30 min to 1 hour to complete, and then make it a 5 lap competition.

The tough part is going to make sure there is atleast 5 or 10 "passing" areas that people can take to apss other rigs. This can be in straight away areas or ina rock garden that has multiple lines.

I would certaiinly be willing to help you set this up Curly.

I'd love to come back for a comp....or for any reason.....a string of multiple obstacles......NO by passes! Winch, Crawl, or Throttle. Mud, Rock, Climbs, etc. Best time from start to finish.

Can't wait

no mud

no lines that 95% of the people have to winch. Those just create traffic jams and allow people you have passed to catch back up.

The problem with events that have 4 or 5 short courses, is that you only run your car for 30 minutes the entire day, and the rest is spent watching other people on the courses. No one is going to drive 6 hours to run their car for 30 minutes.

That is why the endurance races at Twisted Trails have been so popular. Maximum seat time for the teams investing their time and money.

Best idea I've heard all year!

The creek bed was an amazing place to wheel, put that in the course, nothing wrong with people catching up, just make sure to take the best line the first time.

In. Would do the endurance style course. It really dont have to be all that hard just keeping a rig together for X amount of time is challanging enough. Some of the races at twisted last year people were complaining that they were too easy but it still seemed that every race near half the trucks DNF. Also when setting it up think about how the track conditions will be after X number of rigs goes through X number of times, stuff that starts real easy gets rutted out and harder at the end of the day.
