My point is that you are quick to bring up Hitler but will not acknowledge your own religion doing the same thing.

Or point out that he used the fact that the "jews killed jesus" to rile up the masses against them. Whether he was a christian or not doesn't mean he didnt use the religion to kill millions of people. (I know he had other anti jewish rhetoric, but this was a component)

I don't know enough about hitler to know if it was his twisted mind control Or what but from what I have read and heard hitler as a young man did have a belief of God but as he got more and more into his own head he removed God from his belief.
Maybe digging up more info on hitler may be some good reading into what made him tick.

Religion can make man do dangerous things in the name of God, but a relationship with Jesus is completely different. Its a hard thing to describe to somebody who is not sure about God.

There you go back to the same bullshit. You can't confront the problems with your god so you just say that I'm the one who just doesn't understand.

I have been in many religious discussions with aderr69. I no longer paticipate because I try to have an intellegent discussion and it's always one sided.

You have a better chance of teaching an old car tire the truth than getting aber to listen to anything but is own bullshit.

..... Christians don't often do Christian things. I think What aber is trying to say is that it's not God's will that these thngs happened but mans will using religion (which is a man made construct) to control people. Any time someone can control a large group of people, the temptation for Corruption is there. It's our nature.

If you look at Christ's Teaching you'll very quickly see that he taught that we should love people. The Early Catholic (Universal, not ROMAN Catholic) church had the right idea. After the church grew, just like any other large organization, it became corrupt by people fighting for power. Both Clergy AND those on the throne. This is actually one of the reasons the early churches supported "Separation of Church and State", So the government couldn't use the church to control people. Because they left the Roman Catholic Church because it was corrupt and doing things that didn't line up with the bible.

Yeah, he flooded the earth. The difference here is that HE IS GOD, so he's the one who gives us life and it's his right to take it away. He's the Judge and I'm glad he is because I don't feel like I should be making judgements on who should/should not live. Also don't forget that he did save Noah and his family because of Noahs Righteousness.

The Roman Catholic Church is no longer promoting the Crusades. Neither is the Catholic Church. Yes there is a Difference. I'm not entirely sure why you think his Avatar has anything to do with it.
