We just reviewed the entire course outline. Gawd this place is HUGE. There's going to be lots of high speed desert sections and I expect Mike to eat up many competitors.

On the trail riding side of things, Jesse's buggy smoked a trans today and he is done for the week. We had a couple days of great wheeling and there is lots to see. There are thousands of people on the desert floor and many in 6 digit $$$ rigs. Simply amazing. If you ever decide to come out here, don't plan on dressing your Sunday best. The dust settles on everything.
Glad your having fun Jim... Would love to head out there someday!

we had a long day getting the car ready, changed out both gear sets which was a good idea becuase we found a broken tooth off the front pinion, nut and bolted the car and then spent 7 hours fighting a belt problem. Finally got the belt to stop leaving the motor with a little tweaking to the alternator bracket.

I drove the car for the first time after the upgrades today and holy cow this that thing is a blast to drive. i have never had the chance to drive a car that handles good enough and has enough power to pitch it into a corner and stand on the throttle and 4 wheel slide it through a corner. Mike has this thing dialed in.

we are in the 22 row leaving the line so around 8:11 am california time so 11:11 michigan time.
