Typical TJ build *Stretched with 60's*
Long story short, I bought a 1998 TJ from my dad's buddy at work. Was pretty gross looking (I actually thought the Jeep was blue until i started cleaning it really well and found it was black) had what seemed like 10" wide fender flares, about 5" of lift too much for the stock arms, an annoying security system, among many other tacky accessories. Got it dirt cheap, had the 4.0 and an automatic, so I figured let's start building something.
Specs when purchased:
-Factory dana 44 with limited slip
-Dana 30 with lockrite locker
-33" brand new duratracs
-Random dumb stuff
Current and in progress specs:
-79' Ford Dana 60 front, 5:13 gears
-79 dana 70 rear, 5:13 gears
-Full corner crushers
-5.5" springs, Front long arm, 5" stretch
-Triangulated 4 link rear (Hoping for a slight stretch)
-New soft top
-37" goodyear MTR's on 24 bolt H1 double beadlocks
-Off-set hi steer arms
-Warn 9.5 winch
I do not currently have too many pictures of the build, I wish I had some of before I tore it down so you could see how tacky it really was... Here are a few pics in its current state, front end is done and the rear should be done in the next week or two. "cantbuyit, buildit" is doing all the fab work. Very nice work.
