Default 4.8/5.3l GM block $100 Sold.

I know absolutely nothing about this block. 4.8/5.3 is stamped on it. Buddy of mine, who also knew nothing about it, passed it on to me. Looks to have possibly been rebuilt. Will get pictures up if any interest.

I think $100 is a fair place to start.

Pics? Bare block? Short? Long?

The 5.3 is in the ls family, i believe theyre classified as a lq4 or lq9 if iirc, the great part about these is theyre iron block and cant handle ALOT of beating. Depending on condition you shouldnt have this long at all! Hell depending on a few things i might have you put it on a cratr and freight it my why on the coast...

LQ4's and 9's are 6.0's. LM/LK7 for 5.3. I'm no expert, but from the pic I'm gonna guess 4.8. Those bores look small. Still a hell of a deal on a Gen 3 start. If I was closer....

Do you still have it?
and by the looks it is a 5.3 because of the dished pistons that is really the only difference between 4.8 and 5.3.
and does it role over?

It turns over by hand no problem. I would really much rather not ship it.

4.8/5.3 share the same bore (96mm) - the 5.3 has a 9mm longer stroke.
