Default custom buell muffler help ?

ripped the muffler off my bike to wrap the header this winter only to find the muffler was leaking in a few spots and the baffle was loose / broken so i have been pretty bored at work and this is what i have come up with after dismanteling the vance and hines muffler i was going to buy a small baffle to put in the elbow they sell them out of j and p any where from 30 to 150 my question is could i make somthing similar my self maybe a 2 and 1/2 circle of steel with several holes would i have the same affect ?

most baffles have a louver effect in them to trap the sound. if you can make that then i think you could accomplish such a task.

louver effect = sticking a phillips screwdriver through the drilled hole and bending it. It will give you the thing you're looking for.
