Default Dog owners - what dry food do you feed your dog?

My wife and I currently have a 7 year old lab/border collie mix (75% lab) and a 16 week old lab puppy. We are currently feeding both dogs Canidae all life stages dog food (this is what the older one has been on for years). I started the older dog on this food 6 years ago at the recommendation of our trainer but I've recently learned that this food isn't as good as it once was. So, we are looking at switching both dogs to something else. Anyone have any suggestions? There are so many foods on the market today it seems almost impossible to make a decision, so please let me know what you feed your dog and why.

Ask your vet what she/he recommends.
Our dogs have had 2 vets in 10 years, both have said purina dog chow is a good food and not to turn good money into shit by feeding the dogs a " hyped up" brand of kibble.

I have feeding my Dog Canidae for the last few years. Can you share with me what you heard about it? Not questioning what you heard I would just like to be informed.
Thanks

The cheap dog store food is made with a lot of filler (per the Vet) and dogs dont absorb all of whats in it, so they shit more.

We have always used Iams in the green bag and the dogs love it.

Iams in the green bag, my dog shits once a day. I mix in some raw hamburger a couple times a week.

Purina Pro plan, from what I've read seems to be pretty good. Every other dog from his litter is fat, he is the only skinny one, don't know if the type of food is why, but the others feed thier's cheap food.

Both my Vet and groomer have told me that if I actually love my dog, I will feed him nothing but that. It has done wonders for his hair, skin, ear (infections ofter). His joints don't seem as stiff. Great stuff.

Kirkland brand from Costco is the probably the best value out there.

A lot of the big name brands you find at the grocery store are low quality. If it lists corn or corn meal as one of the first few ingredients it's probably shit food.

It's around $22 for an 18 lb bag and $35 for the next bigger size. Petsmart seems to have the best prices. Both of my pugs are 30 lbs+ but they haven't gained any weight in a long time. They're not fat, they're just big pugs. I think they're so big because I overfed them when they were puppies, at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
