Default Waggy/M715 truggy

Well, starting with what's left of my 89 grand wagoneer, chassis specs are 7" spring over/ shackle flip, 3" spring lift, and 1" shackle lift. Axles are Dana 44 front and rear, 3.73 open front ARB rear. drivetrain is AMC 401 mildly built, about 400 horse, TF 727 with a shift kit, and a NP 229 to finish it out.
I bought a 67 M715 about a year ago, shortly after I rolled the waggy, with intentions of using the cab and front clip on my chassis. Sent the body out to sandblast recently and patched the holes in the floorboards and a few other places. Next was the rockers, a little rock protection should come from the 4"x6"x1/4 wall tubing I welded in.
I machined some body mount bushings out of aluminum since the rockers will be tied in to the frame and Exo-cage later.
Set the cab today and hooked up brakes and steering, before putting on the front clip. Should be more to come soon.

X2 on the subscription. Gonna be an awesome build. You should definitely go with a sweet looking gladiator grill to top this sweet build off. Also on another note, where did you get that front bumper thats on it now???

Bumper came from BJ's Offroad. I really want to find I rhino grill, but they're not easy to come by.

Got the dash in today and buttoned up some wiring under the hood. Ordered a throttle cable and made a parts list for the electrical in the cab.

Took about 8" off the back of the frame today, welded the old trailer hitch in as a rear crossmember/tow point. It will stay this way until I four link it a few years from now. Should be able to shorten the frame more then. Also took out the crossmember right behind the cab, this will be replaced with something more custom once I decide on positioning of the fuel cell and compressed air tank.

Nice...I was going to mention that you should think about stretching the wheelbase a bit when I first read this, but I see now you chopped the frame. Having seen a J-truck cabbed Waggy before....they look a little short.

Now that I look at the pics, looks like this treasure had it's leafs moved forward quite a bit...perhaps Cornfed will chime in about it.

Awesome Kyle! Glad to see it start to come together. What are you thinking about doing for the area behind the cab?

Wheelbase on it right now is 108" I believe, I'm going to leave it there for now. In the future when it gets tons and linked I may stretch the front out a bit. Out back is going to consist of a 16 gallon oba tank, fuel cell, storage box, and cage.

Gauges and switch panel are in and wired. Just need to mount and wire the tach and all the wiring in the cab will be done.

Tach is in and wired. Fuel cell is mounted and sending unit is wired. Need to finish plumbing the cell and build a battery tray/cables before it will run

Battery tray is in and cables are installed. Fuel cell is plumbed, it runs. And all the wiring is right. Also got the top frame on.
