When somebody is on the fence, the left or right always look soooo far away.
Especially when your looking down on them.

And when you're on the extreem right the center looks very far away, and the left is completely out of sight.

And yes, that works both ways.

I am not, and I am not ok with the arrogance he's displayed concerning the issue, so beating a dead horze it may be, but as the leader of our nation I would expect a little more out of him, whether I support him or not is irrelevant in the matter.

This.

I understand that he's the president and shouldn't have to go to court over this after he's been in office for 3+ years. However, IMO it also shouldn't have taken years of ridicule by the right and ultimately a few day's from a celebrity (Trump) to get him to show his birth certificate.

And also, remember the Hawaii governor that claimed he was going to "show the world" the certificate? What happened to that? I know they claimed he couldn't show it because it was a "violation of privacy," but does the president really have any privacy on this matter?

It's nothing more than a diversion from the real issues, or we're all getting the wool pulled over our eyes. ANYONE and EVERYONE running for this seat should be MANDATED to release it before they enter the race so this crap doesn't happen again (and for that matter college records so we don't have to listen to that as well).

Reading the comments section on that site is painful. If the literacy level was higher I would take them more seriously.

I have to provide a birth certificate to apply for Medicaid, you have to provide one to get a passport or enhanced driver's license. Do you really think he didn't have to provide one as part of his nomination for office? Whether or not he made it public is irrelevant. I'm sure the requirement has been satisfied.

No. I'm satisfied that he HAS proven that he is qualified to fill the seat he sits in. In fact, he is the only president that I have ever seen a copy of a birth certificate for. So he is the only one that has ever provided proof.

I agree that he could of save a lot of by showing it sooner, but I also think that there are people that no matter how conclusive the evidence will still not believe it.

Many have a hard time believing it only because if it was so simple all along than why did he not do this from the beginning? My best guess is because it kept everyone worried about whether he was born in the U.S. or not which in turn made it so many did not focus on what a shitty job he had been and still is doing or all the underhanded dealings that he has been a part of.

Obama has decided not to show up for court this morning. He is not above the law, as much as he thinks he is.

This is one of those arguments that has no win for either side.

Obama could provide witnesses, documents, doctors, etc... and his opponents can just say lies, lies, lies. And it can go the same the other way too.

What proves he was born in the US? His word? Politicians lie. Birth certificate? Could be faked. Doctor testimony? He could be paid off.
What proves he wasn't born in the US? Witnesses word? People lie. Birth certificate? Could be faked. Doctor testimony? People lie.

I guess I don't see how this is ever going to be resolved with some sort of proof. People will believe what they want to believe and I just hope that in November more people believe that he isn't a great president and decide its time for some different hope and change.
