The Korean's 05 Rubi

2005 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon
6-Speed Manual
108,070

Well, after months of looking, I finally found the Rubi I wanted. I bought it from the original owner (one owner woohoo) that never four wheeled (I know hard to imagine, but there is not one spec of dirt on the underside where there should be dirt from wheeling it) and just babied it as his daily driver for the last 7.5 years. Besides the front window tint and Quadratec i-Vault, he did the rest of the modifications. Not only did he include the hardtop, but he also gave me the OEM Rubi seats, soft top, as well as a bikini top. Plans include Smittybilt Front, Rear, and Side Bumpers, Rock Krawler 3.5" Lift, some 33/12.5/15 or 16" Mickey Thompson Wheels and Tires, and a WARN or Superwinch... Oh and a Smittybilt C.RES Netting Soft top will also be ordered soon. I think that's all for now or at least all I can think of... one of the last things I would like to add (on the dream sheet haha) is a 50" Rigid Industries LED Lightbar, but that's definitely way down on the list.

Exterior
Aftermarket Front Bumper
Aftermarket Rear Bumper
Aftermarket Hood Louver Panel with LED's built in (looks like the Ford Raptor in a small way)
Aftermarket Front and Rear Fenders
Hella 500 Black Magic lights mounted on the A-Pillar
LED Tail Lights
LED 3rd Brake Light
LED Reverse Lights
Clear Turn Signals
Clear Sidemarkers
20% Window Tint
Snorkel

Interior
Corbeau Front Seats
Corbeau Bench Seat Cover
Corbeau Seat Harness' (currently not installed)
A-Pillar Gauges - Trans Temp, A/F
Rancho Wireless Dampener Controller
Rancho On/Off Pump Switch
Locker Bypass Mod Switch
Hella's On/Off Switch
Red 6-Speed Shift Knob... haha
Quadratec i-Vault Panel for single din head unit
Jeep Auto dimming mirror with map lights, direction, and outside temp
LED's throughout interior

Sound
Aftermarket Single din head unit
10" Sub built into the back bench seat

Performance
Borla Catback
Enclosed K&N Intake

Suspension
Rancho 9000XL Shocks
Aftermarket Swaybar Disconnects

Wheels/Tires
OEM Rubicon 16 Wheels
BFG Mud Terrain's

Pics look like ass, and you are a dummy if you buy the Smitty stuff. They are crap. Buy good quality stuff. Get with the local vendors and they will set you up.

There is Ironman in Midland. UORC in Fenton. Jeeperz-Creeperz in Detroit (sort of. I think Wyondotte) JCR over by Grand Rapids. Tab can make you bumpers that look cool and won't be much more expensive than those shittybilts.

Jeep does look nice and clean. Just don't start bolting crap on it and make it look like ass.

Haha tough crowd... meh. Thanks for the info on the local vendors and the quality of Smittybilt. I'm going to go with the "I'm new to the Jeep" world excuse.

Oh and whenever I get around to it, I'll find my digital camera and snap some fishbowl less pictures. At the moment I only own the GoPro HD.

A cell phone would take better photos than that.

I fucking love poser/mall crawler Jeeps. More pictures of the various LED lights please.

I have a 4wd too. It's got a 5 cylinder in it, full time 4wd with lockable center and rear differential, and hand cut tires. It's a blast off road but doesn't do very well rock crawling or going through mud holes. Also, the ashtray stinks like Auschwitz.

Korean C

I think you'll find most of those already installed "accessories" won't make it to the end of a proper off-road excursion. I'd think about changing a few things soon.
