Looking for two people for a "Business Opportunity" - Must have a LS-series engine.

I'm seeing more and more folks using LS engines in their rigs and old vehicles - I'm also seeing there people encounter a lot of trouble with their setups / PCM tunes that I could help out with.

I've been doing things like this for about 20 years now - that is: I've been calibrating vehicle software for performance and emissions for five different OEM companies.

My offer is this: A setup from EFI live is $900 and comes with 3 VIN licenses: I want two people that have LS-engined rigs to go thirds with me on the equipment. I keep the equipment, and the two folks that go in with me on this get lifetime tuning from me for their vehicle (Each get a VIN license).

If this sounds like something you'd be interested in - let me know via PM what engine you have, what trans and what PCM (if you know the number) - donor vehicle description should work too.

Think about it - a lifetime tune for $300 - and diagnostic help for any trouble you have.

would it be a lifetime on all my computers? I have 3 ls engines now and will sell one but get another for a tow rig.

It would be lifetime on ONE engine / VIN combo. EFI live comes with 3 VIN certs that lets you tune three different vehicles. The plan is for each "investor" to get one VIN cert each, and I get one and the equipment. I need one to use in my own vehicle for remote troubleshooting / development work for other tunes.

I'm not certain how VIN certs transfer or if you can take your controller and put it in another vehicle and have it work, but in your case Bill, you could buy two more certs for $99 each and I could tune those for your free. Just not certain how the distance between us will work for tuning. I'll have to see what I can find out.

If I remember correctly, EFILive locks to a computer, not necessarily a VIN code/engine. However Scooter decides to set it up is up to him and I like where he's going with it! A lot of guys will definitely benefit. Hell, I may employ his services on some of my projects.

I've been running EFI Live for about a year, but haven't had as much seat time with it as I'd like. Very powerful tool! I'm currently running a Gen 3 (LS-series computer, commonly referred to as the -411 swap) on my 2000 OBS wonton with a 350, and soon the same computer will (hopefully) be running an 8.1 with a throttle by cable system.

Scooter, Do you have any experience with the 8.1 vortec?

Nope, just 6 years experience with calibrating GM software - so I think I could do something for an 8.1L

Fack - just noticed they increased their prices $26/License and only include two "certs" with the tool.

Dicks.

Still worth it. 26 more bucks to make my G8 shift right (totalling 125) won't make me bat an eyelash.

If I would have known, I would have bought 3 extra liscenses before the hike! Oh well.

Still getting set up - I'm looking at other venues since EFI live boosted the prices of their individual licenses $26 each, and they include one less when you buy it, effectively raising the price $125.

Hp Tuners all the way. Expect to pay 425(lowest) to 500. You will get 8 credits which GM cars/trucks require 2 credits per vehicle. so you could get in 3 people at 125 and make out with a nice setup!!

I'm looking at HP tuners and also a coworker and I want to put something together that would be freeware and would use communication hardware already out there. It would be nice if everyone had access and didn't have to pay through the nose just to tweak their vehicles.
