Default how narrow of a rim for 44" tsl?

So, how narrow of a rim have you successfully mounted a 44 TSL on? 15" tall rims.

H1s are 16.5s. 15s should hold even better I would think.

44s are 3" wider. Think you could mount them on an 8" rim.

h1s are also a beadlock but i think you would be okay with a 15x10 or even better a 15x12

and a double beadlock. Thought he was just asking how narrow he can go and have them actually fit.

Gotcha. They fit on a wheel as narrow as 9" as in the H1. It looks like others have mounted them on 8" wheels too.

i had my 42's on 7" rims for a while, now on 8's. i have put 44's on 10's easily.
8's will work, the tread will be rounded. low pressures off road it will be fine.

on the street it would wear the centers fast. not that many guys run 44's on the street.

mount one and see what you think.

The only time it will be on the street is when absolutely necessary to get to a trail.

They will fit without a doubt. Not that it's the best idea but it will work. I have had to mount a 15" wide tire on a 6" wide wheel. It works but looks stupid. The centers wear out faster than the rest of the tire. If you take note on tire manufactures wheel width recommendations I believe it will say 12"-15" wide wheel for a 18" wide tire.

just 2 cents

Are you buying the rims (new/used) or have ? Are 8's are more common that 7's , for your bolt pattern ?

it should hold the bead pretty well on an 8 or 10 inch rim. i ran my 42's at 4psi on 8" rims with no beadlocks(yeah im a cheap ass).
i did burp a little air when i rolled it, but it kept its bead without issue.

i did mow a valve stem off at the mounds opening day. that was a bummer.

I bought some 44" gumbos that were on 8" wide rims. Held the bead good.

I already have the rims. This is supposed to be a cheap rig. So, I am trying to not spmd money on it that I don't have to.
