Default 98 Vw Beetle TDI **Needs Motor**

I have a 98 VW beetle TDI, ALH motor. New clutch, new tires, new maf, new starter, new serp belt, new windshield.
The oil pan was punctured, and she kept driving causing the lifters to fail so it has not compression but with the valve cover off it is easy to see that the lifters are not moving like they should. Under the oil pan everything looks ok, but I have not had the head off.
Up until she hit something, it was getting about 50MPG, and ran very well. Would make a good parts car, or add a motor and a good dailey driver. Possibly swap the head and it might fix it.
Asking 2000 OBO

Timing belt is still on it. Checked. Hole in the oil pan about 3/8. She drove it, the light came on. Metal strands under the valve cover. I took only the oil pan off, and the valve cover to find out what I was in for. I just do not have the time to go any farther.

450,000 on the body. The motor in it was replaced about 200,000 by the last owner due to a broken timing belt. He drove the car from Jackson to Detroit everyday for many years and bought a different beetle to replace this one. She bought it with under 350,000 and drove it to were it is at.
