That's a state trunk line. If you don't like the quality of the road, that's something you need to take up with MDOT, not the local Road Commission since the state is in charge of what work will be done on it and what they are willing to spend.

Try some of the dirt roads around Cohactah in the spring. When my brother first moved out there school buses were getting stuck and they had to bring gravel trains of stone in to fill the holes.

Personally I would rather drive down some bumpy ass paved or dirt road than deal with 696 traffic during rush hour. When I drove it to Warren every day I was either doing 90 worrying about being run over or doing 5 because of an accident.

I absolutely hate city driving, but that's probably because I grew up in a country-ho-bunk town.....and somehow still learned how to spell.

Anything with round-a-bouts or one way streets confuses the hell out of me

It's abandoned state trunkline. Livingston County is now in charge of it.
