106.7 TheD

Sounds like 106.7 changed their format to a rock station now. So far I like it.

People still listen to commercial radio stations for something other than a football/baseball/basketball/hockey game broadcast?

Yeah some people do.

I mean I know its all cool and hip and trendy to listen to your ipod, or your pandora, or your CD collection (is that uncool too?) or your satellite radio.....but some of us enjoy local radio stations with commercials, traffic, weather, callers, etc.

I myself enjoy hearing local commercials about events, deals at restaraunts, sales at stores, local traffic and weather reports, etc.

I like to have some sort of connection with the rest of my local world instead of living on my ipod/facebook/virtual google+ circle world 24 hrs a day.

X2 I listen to mostly 2 or three local stations. The only time I plug in my Ipod or any other source of music is when I travel and do not want to search for stations on the drive. I did not Know 106 changed either, I'll have to check it out.

X3. And since my daily commute and most other trips are 15 minutes or less it's not worth messing with all that other stuff, if I actually had any of it.

When I was home and working a regular job, I would always listen to 89x in the morning. Laughing my ass off on my way to work always made my day better.
