someone poured antifreeze in the gas tank. We bought it from the insurance company, drained the fuel/blew out the lines/changed the filter.

Some one pooring antifreeze on the tank will make insurance put a salvage title on it? Am I missing something? Seems kinda strange being something so simple.

The bigger problem is the gas tank. Was this antifreeze filled gas tank hooked up to the injection system of this diesel truck? And was it filled with gas?

act of vandalism
insurance wrote it up as a bad engine
engine + labor is enough to salvage it out

The pictures I used are straight from the insurance company

huh i wouldnt think something so simple would total a truck out but i guess i dont know how all that works either. looks like a pretty solid truck for the price really.

good luck with the sale man

i buy a lot of vehicles and to be honest there is not that big of a difference between clear and salvage most of the time. I get clear titles in all the time that are completely smashed, and salvage title vehicles in that have a couple scratches. Its a good solid truck. I just put a new glow plug relay on it and i've been driving it all week
