Struts are on the Super Beetles.
Best way to identify a Super from a distance is, they also have a curved windshield.
This is not a Super Beetle.

His isn't a super but,

The first couple years of supers, 1971-1972 had flat windshields.

Like this one

Best way to spot a super from the distance is the little vents on the lower front nose of the car, you can kinda see them below the front bumper in the above pic.

also the super beetle had a wider stance which made the hood wider on the front!even on the flat window ones!

Hmmm............I grew up driving things things, I don't ever remember a Super having a Flat windshield. (but I could be wrong) The Flat windshield ended in 72 didn't it, and then the Super's started up in 73?

I do know that the super's had struts, not the tortion system in the front.

Q. Do all Super Beetles have a curved front windshield?

A. No. The 1971-1972 Super Beetles (AKA the 1302) used the same flat front glass as the Standard Beetle. The curved front windshield was first introduced to the 1973 Super Beetle* (AKA the 1303). This glass was used in both the Super Beetle sedan and convertible until the end of production. This new style glass was used to comply with US safety standards with regards to the distance from the occupants and the front glass.

OK, You guys schooled me a little.
I'd never heard of a Super with flat glass.
But what is a "lowered sunroof"?

If I had to guess I'd figure he meant something like this.

It has cut fenders, no bumpers, kc daylighters for headlights, poolstick shifter, it's lowered and has a sunroof .

Wish you were closer and I had cash right now.
I would dump my DD for this right now if I didn't need it for going to school.
