Default Montero SR "I'm big in Japan" - Tom Waits

I always think of that song while driving this thing;

1995 Montero SR
3.5 liter quad cam
Stock height
factory rear air locker
33 inch MT Baja Claws

Mods to come:
cranked torsions
possible coil spacer in rear
ditch sways
mod bumpers
set interior up for camping/traveling

Despite having IFS, they're pretty capable and with a tiny 2 inch body lift will fit 35's. Stock gearings is in the high 4.xx:1

different bumper likely, if I do anything winch wise It'll go into a 2 inch receiver so I can move it between this one and my SAS'd 97

Picked these up today, I'll paint the centers gun metal or bronze or something and roll with them. Not crazy about the design but they were cheap and wider than stock.

Well, 35's on stock suspension without a body lift... some trimming required, luckily this thing doesnt flex worth a crap haha. Looks like an Icelandic truck now.

This trucks primary purpose is winter driving, so after a slight body lift (hockey puck) it will be fine for that. In the summers I'm usually driving my 76 Dodge

Cranked some torsion bars, took it to the bad lands, trimmed a little for clearance. Stock suspension and 35's without rub! Comes close though.
