congrats to the winners and losers. good job rocks@valleys and volunteers. seemed pretty organized.

where were all the hardcore 1% guys at? cant stray from the home turf of twisted trails for a race i guess. hopefully werock comes back next year or ron puts on his own. add more rock sections though for the truck classes.

i like the 1 hr race setting alot. 3-4 hours is just way to long for guys doing it as a hobby. it will destroy the rig for sure. look at what happened to the trail rigs on one lap. LOL
I think many of the TT guys are headed south next weekend and didn't want to risk breaking. No different than alumcj not racing due to Crandon next week.

Some well made points. It sounds a lot like it has to do with no pay-out unless you run the whole series (at least thats what I heard). Why race if you don't get even a little $$ for it?

weren't you just saying the other day how you understand how much work it takes and how you can get burnt out racing, when i told you why both mike and i decided not to race rocks and valleys.

i understand the trophy thing. but what did it cost for that class? 50$? 50$ to brag about beating your buddies asses. whats it cost to wheel for the day at a park? 20$-30. i dont see the cost being an isue i guess. unless it was more like $100 to run on top of paying your normal entry fee into the park.

im just sharing my opinions. i didnt run. so rag on me all you want. but i have rescended my hardcore status for family wheeling status.

that was a rough weekend.
Steering wheel came off during qualifying.
Was having problems with the switches for the rad fans since the beginning (kept kicking off)
About 90 minutes into the race, the radiator fan decided to part ways with the shroud. Once that happened, I was overheated in about 3 minutes. Decided not to stop and limp it to pits
By the time I was at the pits, the engine oil was so hot it caught my breather on fire
We rigged the fan back into place, hard wired the switch into bypass mode and went back on to the course
Flopped it on it's side into a mud hole.
Called it a day... or so we thought.

On the way to the car wash area, my left rear coilover falled (shaft pulled out of the bottom heim housing).

OK Im out of this loop. What mistake and any pics.

I want thank all you guys and gals who rallied to the cause and made this event one that will return. There will be some course changes for next year that have already been talked about, These will make the viewing areas easier to access. It was a nice get together with plenty of memories made.
Congrats to Joe on the trail class win. Great sportsmanship of Bill bridge BONES). Even with the small fire he fixed the problem and did his best to run till time ran out,
Thank again and myself and the Rangers will keep working hard to make the park a enjoyable place for you to visit.

I had a great time yesterday, other than going out to rescue Josh's broken Jeep . Ron, you and your crew did a great job with this event. I am looking forward to going again next year .

Never was told who did it......no worries, all in good fun.

Great Event Ron!!! You and the rangers do nice work. I invited 2 guys from Chrysler that have never been to the park before and they were both VERY impressed with the park. They were even talking about building a comp Jeep/buggy to enter next year just for fun and were shooting from the hip about what a great place to have a camp Jeep weekend or something. I don't know if anything will come of it but I got my fingers crossed.

Thanks Paul for wearing the Mcdonald magnets on your door

Ron, thanks for everything. As always, you and the rangers put on one hell of a show, and thanks for getting W.E.R.O.C. into michigan. We will be in next years event, we're hooked. My family really enjoyed themselves and Julie finally got us some swag for us.
