Cool build dude! Im a huge 2.3t guy and have been playin with them for about 15years. If you never been there go check out www.turboford.org {Im a Mod there}. Im restoring a 86 SVO now and Im also building a 88 Ranger 2.3t for a daily driver thats at the bodyshop right now.Few years back I had a red 87 Ranger that ran 11.70's and a really fast XR4Ti I autocrossed.
For injectors you could get away with some 5.0 CFI 42lb injectors on the stock ecm.It will be kinda rich at idle but you can mess with fuel pressure and VAM tension to fix that. You can also use some Mopar 55lb injectors that work really well on e85 and a stock ecm.

Heres a link to my Ranger build {2wd} if you wana see it.

Thanks for the info on the injectors I've been looking into better than stock but haven't found anything that jumped out at me as the right ones for me. Which ones do u think I should run with the modifications that I have now. I don't think I can go to big with the stock ECM but with the mods that I have done I don't think stock will be good enough. And yes I'm on those sites constantly looking at builds and Info to help my build, any info u can give me would be great thanks.

As far as geting more pics of the truck up I'll get them as soon as I can it's covered in snow right now. I'm selling a truck so when the money Comes I'll get her inside and finish up the motor install and get her running. After that on to the axles.

I would at the very least pick up a set of the 5.0 CFi injectors. Mid 80's auto 302's had that shitty throttlebody fuel injection that had two 46lb injectors.Find two of those to rob the injectors out of or surf Turboford classifieds because they pop up for sale at least once a week. Plan to spend 75-100 bux for a set.

With those injectors you will need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator {same as a 5.0} and gauge to drop the pressure a couple pounds at idle and you can tighten up the spring a couple clicks on the VAM trap door. And make sure you have the 3" VAM and not the 2.5" one.

I think I'm looking for bigger injectors than that and I already have the adj fuel pressure reg from kerban and the 3" VAM is on order.

Does any one know of good aftermarket injectors that are bigger than stock but aren't Gona break my stuff, or is the 302 injectors as good as I'm Gona find with stock ECM

With the stock ecm and VAM the 46lb injectors are about the most you can get away with unless you set it up to run on e85 then you could try the Mopar 52's or 55's. And if you didnt know the 2.3t ecm's use low impedence injectors while all other Fords use high impedence so you cant use any other v8 injector other than the CFI ones.

That said the stock 35lb injectors are safe up to around 250hp and the 46lb are safe to around 300hp. I dont see your combo breaking 300hp.

According to the guy who did the machine work on my engine. Who drag races a thunderbird running the verry much same set up as what he built for my project I should have no problem breaking 300 horse, but who really knows I haven't fired it up let alone put her on a dyno. Unless Tyler tells me of a better injector set up I will go with the 302 46lb injectors.

Deathbypsi do you have a part number for the 46# injectors that u are referring to and are to talking about the car 302s or truck

The injectors are from car 5.0 motors with auto trans. They have the throttlebody injection that looks like a 2 barrel carb. Must be off a 5.0 and NOT a v6.

84-85 5.0 liter cars should have the injectors you want.

Ok I'll just buy new from the zone, so I'll look them up in the morning and get a set coming.

And yes very true I could have added the apostrophe Scratch that should have added it would have caused less confusion, its funny thou with all the spelling errors and lack of punctuation marks in every post on this site, I had to get picked on for mine, but hey that's how it goes around here on this site, nothing and no one should be taken seriously, everything that is said should be take with a grain of salt. And just remember that in the end it's all just zeros and ones if any one truly has a problem with what is being said, they just need to keep in mind that they have the power to turn the computer off and walk away, the sadest part is that alot of people seem to not under stand that.

Count how many time I didn't use the correct grammar in that run on sentence. Ha ha

Wiring harness arrived today (thanks to the brown Santa)
New floor pans should arrive Monday
Got the interior striped last Thursday

I've been fighting with my self on which axle I want to run in the front, I'm torn between solid and TTB.
I'm leaning towards the TTB because I would like to try and enter into some TREC races and races like what the TREC offers. I think IFS will be more benifical in a race like that, and I like to try different things that what everyone else is running hence a turbo 4 cyclender.

With the arrival of the harness I should be able to start geting things put together, with a running truck I will be able to make a decision on the axle alittle easyer.

More pics in a couple days

Actually no.....84,85,86 Auto 5.0 had CFI fuel injection {small throttlebody that looked like a 2v carb}. Only the manaul trans 5.0's got a carb up til 86.

All good fellas I've got the correct injectors off of an 85 5.0 cfi.

I guess I should have posted that as well I've got 4 46lb low impedence injectors, 87-88 computer, 87-88 VAM, and my wiring harness is from Ron's wiring (very good guys to work with I would recommend them to any one), floor pans are coming from JBG.
