Here are some pics, front hoops were made along with front drive shaft, ride height is about 2" lower than where it sits, rear pinion flange for 14 bolt was made, radiator was moved forward a few inches, and electric fan was installed. Still have steering, brake lines, shocks, rear drive shaft, and some touch ups, oh and exhaust. Getting closer but so is October.

Built the rear drive shaft. It happens to be a 1/4" shorter than the front so I decided to make a spare. Felt great knowing that the front and rear are interchangable. Starting the full hydraulic steering next.

Been out of school for two weeks. The wick is lit at both ends. Been working out there every night. Steering, brake lines, shocks, exhaust, traction bar, and fill with fluids. Those are the major things left. a bunch of little things to do too, but she'll be at Loonie.

Hard doors, hard top, windshield are off and moved into storage. Brake lines, master brake cylinder, some fluids, traction bar, start steering, and the little things are started and moving along. Might have it done early next month, might?

Working on the steering, and then bringing it to G&M to do the exhaust and check the brakes. Shocks should be in tomorrow or Monday. Should be ready to go wheeling soon!

So the brakes, steering, and exhaust are done, I think. Thought I had the steering done before, it was tough to steer so I replaced it with a new pump. Drilled the high pressure fitting out an 1/8" more, added a inline cooler. The difference is like night and day. Need to test the brakes now, add lights, and tunes. I'm now starting to gather up extra parts, just in case.

Picked up my chromoly 4340 Yukon inner and out 35 spline from Rock Solid Performance out of Cedar Springs Michigan. They have a sweet shop, first time I've been there. Many projects, and some cool after market parts. The shafts will help me keep it wheeling. I think now my weak spot is the transmission or T-case. Those are the original 72 Toyota FJ40 transmission and T-case. Although the drive shafts could be it too?

to much talk stopped by with his charging system. It looks so much better, thanks Ben! Drove it around, flexed it out. Before I took it for a spin we had a small electrical fire under the dash I need to gut the electrical system and run a simple harness, maybe do that tomorrow?

It's ready, not sure how long it'll last shakedown run in Canada on Wednesday night/Thursday morning at Curly's place. Figure that's the best place for the shakedown. I'll have to redo the harness, we have all different color wires running in every direction I'll redo it after the trip. Next is to add a rear 4-link. The front was educational to say the least. Driving it around it feels stable, played on a dirt hill, I need lower gears, 4:10s are to fast. Lots to change but first time to play!

After Canada and two tie bars that broke, I got the other high steer arm, which still needs to be put on. I also smashed in both differential covers, bought some HD ones and just installed them last week after our trip to Super Off Road Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas. While we were in AR I broke the transfer case front cone housing, was going to put in a whole different trans and case but we have this Extreme Truck Challenge coming up and really want to play with the Extreme guys, So I just replaced the transfer case. Need to do high steer and add another battery for the winch in case I need it, to help some of the buggies roll back over Plenty of time, I think to do it all.
