Erin's right, they are 1 1/4 with a 1" bolt. I got them from EORP (Extreme Off Road Parts). They might be over kill? But I'm building it so I won't be broken on the side of the trail, been there to many times!

Thanks, I'm trying to get it done so we have a back up just in case. My funds are drying up, so who knows? How is yours coming along? I think you have the steering I want?

She hasn't been out of the barn since late December. Took her out this evening for a stretch. Really like the way everything turned out. Still have a lot of work to do. It looks like I will have 4" of up travel and 6" of down travel in the center of the axle with the wheels getting a lot more than I imagined. Yes I'm happy. Next winter I will link the rear, for now I still have a lot of work to do. Going full hydraulic, disc brakes in the rear, and i will need a chromoly axle shaft up front, along with some air shocks. Anyway I am tired and here are some pics.

Just picked up my rear disc brakes for the 14 bolt. Going to put those on tonight. I also ordered a Dana 60 pinion flange to Toyota driveshaft. I'll have to fab something up for the 14 bolt. I need air shocks and an orbital valve. There are a bunch of little things yet to do. Should be wheeling by the end of June, if all goes well.

i dont know if you did or not. i was going to put a toy drive shaft in the front of the bronco and i would need one for the 60 and one for the dana 20 so i was wondering what the cost would be.

The only reason right now is cash flow. Next month, I'll see where I am at. I dod like those coil overs. First I'm going to get my hydraulic steering, and drive shafts, whatever is left over will go towards shocks/coil overs?

from what i have read is they are a nockoff of a king or fox.there air bumps are awesome and prices are cheap.your going to almost pay that for a 2.5 air shock so save another hundred and get a set of coilovers.you wont be happy with air shocks john. max has the profender 2" coilovers on the front of his new rig.call luke and ask them what they think.

^^ Most likely I'll see them on the island this weekend.

Just installed my disc brakes, EORP caliper bracket and spacers made it a breeze. I purchased the rest at AutoZone. Need to find something that will allow me to run 3/4 ton disc on the front dana 60. The one tons are huge in comparison. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Thanks, but with those you have to use their hubs too. They look nice, too bad. I'll keep looking, maybe I'll just use the one tons and buy a few grinding disc?

Not much progress on the 40 since that last time I posted, however made some nice purchases, I have an orbital valve coming, I have a new D60 to Toyota drive shaft pinion flange, new front brake calipers, 2" wheel spacers so I won't have to grind much off the calipers to fit the 15" wheels. Still left, is: Steering wheel, ram, brake lines, front rotors (either new or machine my old ones if I can find one of them, the barn might have ate it), air shocks for the front (coil overs would be nice but I have to remember that this is on a tight budget), bump stops for front and rear, rear shocks (thinking something cheap for now, monroe), drive shafts extended, 14 bolt pinion flange fabbed up to fit toy driveshaft, gusset all of my brackets, and exhaust. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I have to put the project on hold until the cash starts to flow again. All that is left is air shocks, full hydro steering, exhaust, custom chromoly axle shaft, and drive shafts. I'll get all the little items out of the way, like hubs getting greased, running brake lines, hooking up the electric fan, adding bump stops, and other little things. Time and money never have enough of both.

Cash flow has been a trickle but I'm back at it. Front brakes are on, shock hoops are done. Had to move the radiator forward a few inches to fit the electric fan in there.

Next I'll be building drive shafts, and reworking the exhaust, making gussets, running brake lines, and whatever else there is. Leaving the hydraulic steering until the end. It is nice having some time to be out here.

I'll post some updated pics soon.
