Default Just another Highline TJ*update tummy tuck*

Got this jeep about a year ago with the intention of buying something nice, keeping it mild and wheel it along with drive it. Found a 2002 with a 4.0 and a 5 speed, exactly what i wanted but milage was high, 178,000. Completly stock when i got it but didnt stay that way for long at all. Here is a pic of just after the lift and some 33's next to my daughters jeep, she thinks her is just like dads.

Wheeled it like this for most of this year with just the almost bald 33's and a welded rear. Made a couple bumpers for the jeep myself. Then i decided after getting stuck alone it was time for a winch.

Next after that the little dents here and the scratches were starting to bug me so i decided i wanted some crusher corners. But the price of these are rediculous so i made my own.

At this point i was relizing that 33's and one locker were just not cutting it. I bought an aussie for the front and started searching for some tires. Wanted 35's so started pricing out lifts and holy shit those things are expensive so decided 33's would have to work. Then i got an awesome deal on a set of 36 inch super swampers and went for them.

Needless to say a Tj with a budget boost and 36's is extremly tight. Here is a pic of me messing around in the backyard on my wood pile. Not even close to a full flex.

So i started researching highline kits. And just like lifts and everything else for jeeps they are just stupid expensive. So once again i will make my own.

Started this last weekend and hoping to finis it up tomarrow.

Also wanted to add a stinger so set a buddy lose on that, think it turned out pretty sweet. Round stock in the stinger will be were the winch cable is hooked to when not in use.

And thats about all the farther i am right now. Need to finish up the other side and make brackets for everything to mount back up, battery ect.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks, forgot to mention that last spring at rocks and vallys my engine lost all oil pressure and it did not look good. Luckily i had just bought a truck and trailor so we at least made it home were i yanked it out and had it completly rebuilt. Night and day diffence in power and smoothness with the new engine.

I like it. I don't think that d30 is going to agree with those tires for very long though.

Way too much stinger...lol. I always liked the look of tjs with a small stinger that is tied into the fenders. Good start!

the stinger looks way bigger in the pictures then in peron but i think i still might take some off from it. ii think i would like it to stand up alittle straighter.
