At the stop of my shoulders where my neck meets my back I have pain, sharp pain that's almost unbearable.

I see a lot of Jeeps with 5.3s and 6.0s, but not many with a 5.7 efi motor. Is there something about those motors that make it a hard swap?

I know but why not just a regular 5.7? My old 89 Chevy had one, and i thought it was a good motor. Maybe there's something I'm missing..

A small block fell in my XJ. I do eventually want an LS in there.

6.0's are cheap. I would even bother with a 5.7.

Ls motors have twice the snap as a 5.7 TBI. Plus IMO a lot less overheating with a LS

Good to know thanks guys.

I need new control arms. I'm sitting on 4" of lift. Can i run straight lowers or would or be better to have a slight bend in them like after market? I would like to make them myself

If most of the aftermarket lowers have a bend, I'd probably use a bend too.

Okay jw. My buddy has an XJ with straight arms that he made. I don't know if there's any difference. He never has any problems.

How about length? I guess i don't really know how long to cut the arms. Find a Jeep that's similar to mine as far as lift and measure their arms? This is the reason why i just want to buy a complete lift kit, but i really want to learn to do this stuff myself.

This or I'd see if I could find specs on any aftermarket arm for measurement, if I could. It's always nice to have a reference jeep to look off of.

Anybody have measurements i could get?

Now with a long arm lift. Longer arms means the wheelbase is getting stretched a little bit correct?

Yes. Are you relocating your brackets for them?

What brackets do i need to relocate? I'm not sure if i want to long arm it yet, just getting ideas. Question i have, do you need to relocate the upper spring perches to stay parallel with the axles?

I found what appeared to be a great bbq sauce recipe.
It called for 3/4 cup of bourbon.
I....I couldn't do.....

I miss the days of getting broke shit super cheap. I want to find a small cruiser to put a knobby on and do a trip around mi that is street/trail. Problem is anything running or not is like $500+, I want to have that into after i add knobbies and other small stuff.
