Wtf is with Michigan's obsession with buying milk, bread and eggs whenever we get a snow storm?

I'll never understand the sudden and extreme compulsion to make massive quantities of french toast upon the sight of snow.

Hahaha. A friend of mine was bitching a couple weeks ago about the six gallons of milk he and his wife had to give away before it went bad. I asked about eggs but he said they just made some large breakfasts to use them up quick.

I saw a woman with 12 dozen eggs, 2 dozen loaves of bread, ans 6 gallons of milk in her cart the day before the first snowmaggeddon storm.... WTF?

I had the same thought, how much french toast can you eat in an emergency?

The hr manager where I work goes through 6 -8 gallons of milk a week between her and her kids.

I seen it done. I had a bunch of question marks about it, but they said they did it before. They picked up a YJ a friend was selling.
