how is it you always know someone in need? not trying to sound like a prick but you should limit your asking for donations from this site to two times max a year, or find other ways of helping people...don't forget many people here besides yourself that know people in need...and just maybe they would rather help them

If you don't want to help that's your choice, I just like to try to help people in need. I didn't know I had to get a approval from the higher ups when i hear of a person in need.

If you dont want to help, then look the other way, and to me asking and others wanting to help someone else, then have them grow some balls and don't be afraid to ask.

I only post if it is someone I know or am related too, if I posted every time i heard of someone in need I would need my own website.

Just trying to do my part to pass the word

I'm not sure what to say here, but I work with Dan Nowiki, the father of 3 out of 5 of Chasity's kids. He started to work here as an IT guy back around August and I hear she kicked him out the week he started here. He called in Monday saying his house burned down and he and one of the kids were home at the time, all are OK thank God.

I'm sure it may just be mixed facts, the news article may be getting info from neighbors who really don't know, or something like that, but there just seems to be a lot or weird things. I got an email asking for donations here at work for him and his 3 kids.

No, how do you have 90k in personals, but not have insurance? I would like to ask Dan that, but I don't want to kick him while he's down. He seems nice enough, and tries to keep out computers up and running the best he can.

Yeah. What a joke. Because of this guy being a cheap ass (who doesn't have homeowners insurance???) they are forced to beg for used clothes for their kids. Sad. I never see people who are insured begging for stuff, that's because they were prepared.

wouldn't be home "owners" insurance, but

Manufactured Home RENTERS insurance...

Wow, so he lost something that wasn't even his? I thought you were required to have insurance on something you're renting. So now I guess he lost all of his stuff, his kids stuff, his ex-wife's stuff, and now he'll have to file BK due to the bills from the owner of the trailer?

All to save a couple bucks. Classy.

I'm sure some may disagree, but there is NO WAY IN HELL I would give these people cash. On the other hand, giving their kids clothes, toys, or anything non-monetary would be awesome.

I might change my opinion if I found out that the parents were living small, driving old beat up cars and not buying expensive personal items.

I do believe the owner is required to have liability insurace, but that wouldn't cover the renter's personal items. Also I will say I find it hard to believe they really had 90k in personal items.

No this guy doesn't drive a new car, he drives a GP that's probably about a late 90's or early 2000's. Aside of that, I dont' know much about him, or how they were living. I'm mixed on making a cash donation, leaning toward stuff for the kids myself, which being a co-working I do plan to do this week.

I cannot believe that I didn't notice a fire on my way to work Monday. I had to have gone through there around 7:45.

Renters are not required to carry insurance, it is the landlords responsibility to have insurance on the home. The landlords insurance only covers the home though and not the possessions inside.
