Yeah, cause nothing looks more commercial than a big white truck....mabe some generic stripes like most campers and motor homes have....maybe just the "Inviscid" without the motorsports part....sounds like a name they'd put on one of those huge campers or motorhomes.

Good point. Put some gay stripes on it.

I already bought stripes and generic "swoosh" decals. Too cold to put them on though.

The reason to go DOT in the future would be for advertising sponsors on the side.

Whatever you do, do not put "not for hire" on the side.
If its plated as an rv a curious cop might check, but for the most part you will be left alone. Looks good.

You can't just hang sponsor banners out when you get there? I guess if the sponsors want to pay for your tow rig registration....but I think they'd rather see their money spent on your buggy so you win something.

Cheeze it up like an RV....swoopy swoosh stripes, the biggest good sam club sticker you can find, "The Bridge's" near the door, curtains in the windows...make it look like an old retired couple own it, get WhiteRhino's help if need be.

If you do that it will end up with wagon wheels and oxen pulling it....

Sweet build, although personaly I would skip decals and get a custom ez-up tent and banners. No need to disguise it, just keep everything legal. Sponsors know your demographic is at the events and the rig is what is going to draw there attention, not a white delivery truck.

I personally think a white delivery truck would look more like a commercial vehicle than if you graphic it up like a motorhome looks.

Granted it wont draw any attention, but if he does get pulled over and the cop see's a white delivery truck with an rv title he may be more suspicious than something with a bunch of graphics that looks like a motor home and has an rv title.. Just my thoughts.

Bill,
If you want to put the big swooshy stickers on it, we can put it in the shop (my work) over the holidays and do it.

RE the thing 4bangler is talking about, read under my avatar. Oh, and WTF are you laughing at?

id keep it nice and simple. maybe a couple stripes like your saying. try not to draw alot of attention.
im sure you have researched nazi california laws. i know teams were getting big time harrassed the last couple years getting in and out. the border knows about KOH and does what it can to make its money. didnt bluetorch have to leave the rig and trailer 2 years ago at the check in station for having it all graphiced up?

yup, any sort of graphics, advertising, etc without a DOT number is a huge no-no. I work with a guy that races in all sorts of trans-am series stuff and within the last 2 or 3 years there are piles of horror stories about teams being stopped and harrased with toter homes, which all lead to huge fines. And this is in a bunch of states, not just commifornia. He had a crew cab FL70 and a 48' stacker and is terrified to take it south. He is getting DOT approved for next year.
