So basically all that's been done "build" wise is the lift and adjustments that go along with, and axles are soon coming. All the rest is just cosmetics. Any other non-cosmetic build plans for this?

haha i was to.

but back on topic here.

why do you build a bumper for the rear of it? to be honest anymore i dont carry a spair on the jeeps. leave it on the trailer or in the truck. you can build a bumper for cheaper then you can buy one for and then its yours. its pretty obvious that they cant weld worth a damn. id look else where.

honestly if you wanna wheel that jeep then your not going to find clear and maintained trails. thats part of having a jeep with a lift and tires is to crawl over the stuff. its part of the fun.

id look into a set of axles for it. hp44 front to match that 8.8 rear with some lockers would be pretty nice.

i cannt tell you what to do with it as we all have our own ideas and thoughts. but around here they are going to get scratched at the mounds or at twisted if you wanna see the good stuff there will be body damage along with it. may wanna look into some body armor.

[QUOTE=kristavsmichigan;2878450]Been to the mounds a few times.
Wasn't to impressed with the awful kept trails
Almost lost my light rack and saw a ton of xjs stuck
Because of a huge tree fall that no one cared to clean up.
Also wish they'd do something for over grow on trails
But I enjoyed Drummond clean trails and hours of sights in woods
Also marble head for people who want some harder stuff.

Awful kept trails?
We don't wheel on "groomed trails". You must be more of a seaonal road wheeler looking at the sights, which is fine, but a huge fallen tree across a trail makes my crew very happy, just means we have a new obstacle. Getting stuck is part of the fun as well and body damage happens even to a light rack .....just a fact.

Pretty jeep tho.

It is pretty. I like the home made eyelids. Makes it look angry like they do on the Neons...

Spare tires are for pussies. I don't even own a spare... I live life on the edge.

I wonder if the OP realizes they were given the name shittybilt for a reason...

True that, shittybilt is good only for looks, not for actual use.

I briefly considered the shittybilt fenders on my JK. But then I realized I wasn't willing to drill out spot welds and permanently modify the Jeep to fit a shittybilt product. Then my ADHD kicked in and I decided I didn't want to do up the JK entirely. LOL

Im aware of the "shitty bilt" motto. I also am aware that i've heard a 50/50 on the products. I dont know about all of YOU but im also in process of moving out so if LOD wants to make affordable bumpers that would be a GRAND! :-) Also driving without a spare isnt logical. We were on drummond and popped a 37" , what are you gonna do then? I also blew a 33" driving down vandyke, Glad I didnt have to call a tow at 3 am..

I wont say I love the mounds for to many reasons and I don't agree with bad trails. I drove over trees also, I don't care for quads and dirt bikes cutting me off or coming out of no where or huge mud trucks making areas unpassable for jeeps. This is a matter of WHAT i feel. I also refuse to wheel without the proper jeep build, I don't need to break something major and then kick my own butt for not waiting to install something. I've seen a lot of jeeps that break at the mounds, which I know you go in and it can happen but i don't want stacked odds its gonna happen! I think my out look would be different
if i had another DD though. I would beat the crap out of my jeep no doubt.. Once I move out its game on as for now my parents get mad about all my extra jeep parts laying around and my brothers. ( He has a lifted black & white cherokee)

I "moved out" quite a while ago...

What you describe about quads and bikes is more of a problem with the mentality of some of the riders and not with the parks they go to. Have you ever been to Silver Lake? Every time I've gone I've gotten cut off and almost ran into by people on quads.

Also Jeeps breaking isn't a Mounds thing. Its kind of an offroading thing.

Whoever throttled it into the hillbilly mud hole at 1:25 needs some lessons on offroading.

I swear I've saw this Jeep out and about before. Did someone else on this board have it before you?
