A good freind was going to bring his 61? Ford on 44 boggers,It's in brown primer,or a shitty brown paint job, with a 700 hp big block. It might say "overdue" on the back.
I havn't talked to him, just wondering how he did.

Sorta. I helped him build the first one in my garage but since then the only thing the same is the body. He's built the last two versions of it. I just cut the parts now. He has it dialed in real well.

Because yours barely make decent door stops. Putting power to the ground isn't a strong suit.

This has been eating me up and I decided I had to make a comment.

Why do people feel they have the right to STEAL the advertising banners from the SMSC? After nearly a month trying to figure out where the missing banners were, it has been concluded the nearly $1000 worth of banners were stolen. Obviously I didn't state it loudly enough after the previous years events. ***DON'T STEAL THE F*'N BANNERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They aren't free for the taking. When you do take them, you are STEALING! Not from the event, but from the businesses supporting the event. They belong to the companies and each had to pay good money for them.*** Poor Kevin Jefferson, owner of All Automotive, had so many taken that he's looking at over $500 out of his pocket to replace them. And why? So someone can put it in their garage on a shelf to get dirty and eventually turn it into a oil catch under their POS since they have no intention of fixing their oil leak cuz they don't care about S%!t... since they don't care about anyone else either.

I get wanting memorabilia from cool events, but each year I comment on this, and each year it gets worse. It's this kind of shit that makes events stop being fun... for everyone.

BTW- to the guy with the lifted red XJ with the Thornbirds who came to the event... thank you for taking my road signage too. Your tires left a clear bit of evidence in the dirt as you pulled over to take it. Next year when people have a hard time finding their way to Schuss I'll be sure to point out your rig for them to take their frustration out on.

Vented. Done.

I think allot of it stems from what the big motorsport shows have benn doing. The big moster truck shows and the other large events are just a big time traveling circus. From place to place with big money sponsors that give them 50-100 banners to use. They dont reuse the Pepsi banner or the Lucas oil banner, they use a new one. Lots folks rip them down, and the promoters are happy as its one less thing to throw in the dumpster.

They see this event as a big one with video crews and likely see it as a big money event that doesnt care about the banners.
