Default It's ashame Cain couldn't keep his man unit out of all those chicks

because I really was hoping for him.

Now that he has admitted that he had a "friendship" with this lady for 14 years, and was compensating her financially and his wife didn't know, I now know this guy doesn't stand a chance.

I think the bigger issue is that he played the denial game for too long, and then finally admitted to it, but not even fully. Plays the electorate as stupid, and my belief is that the true idiots come out on election day, not in the primaries.

He's a liar, simple as that. Sure, Slick Willy got away with it but I didn't think it was right back then either. I really don't care if Herman had an affair but between that and all the harassment claims, he's not the person who can command respect and trust. Therefore, he's not presidential material. As far as churchy, I don't really think that's the issue. It's more a matter of moral character. He lied to his wife. He lied to the public. He will probably do it again.

I liked his domestic ideas but the last debate made it clear that he doesn't have a good handle on foreign policy. So, double whammy.

Really? Poking another woman and helping to support her lifestyle while married and not telling his wife? I'm pretty sure my wife would consider it an affair.

Don't you think he knew skeletons were hanging in his closet? I doubt very much that he didn't know this was all going to come out eventually.

My guess is that he wanted to make more money for speaking tours and new book deals by being a candidate and never expected to actually get the nomination.

He stands to make a lot of money and I believe that is all he was after.

let's see....
the bitch who hired gloria has connections to axlerod, the other bitch that came out was linked to obama as well and the third is questionable at best having an affair with him even while he battled through stage 4 cancer? it's all bullshit. the have used their allowed racism to destroy someone based on allegation and the media was the accomplice. so afraid that someone outside of the good ole boy network and the fear they would lose some of the black vote is why they did this. plus cain said he was still going to push his agenda for his economic and other policy and that he would endorse a candidate in the coming days. I smell planned tactic and he being chosen as a running mate. the bottom line is even if he did do it, he wouldn't have been the first or the last and it doesn't mean that he would have done a bad job at running the country.

There's 2 sides to this;

1) He's a liar and got caught. If so, I don't want someone we can't trust.

2) He's not a liar and the allegations are all bullshit. But, he realized that it would be too hard to fight and it was a better move for the Repub licans if he stepped aside to allow them to focus on the bigger problems.

Weaksauce.

How can you tell if a politician is lying?
-Their mouths are moving.

While a "noble" concept, there is no such thing as a Presidential Candidate you can trust.

Most certainly.

Everybody lies; some more than others. I'm not assigning right or wrong to the act, I'm merely pointing out that you would not back somebody that was a liar is a bit ironic when involving politics.

And here's the shit - Ron Paul will never get elected because he refuses to lie ENOUGH.

Sounds about right. It's kind of like Donald Trump running... it was all a publicity stunt.
