1987 Chevy 4x4 turbo diesel dually

I want to build myself a new truck, so I have to sell the one I drive everyday.

I have done everything to this truck and know it very well and there are no real issues with it, daily driver proven for 6 years that I have had it.

6.2 with a turbo, very hard to find and desirable DB4911 injection pump, NV4500 5 speed manual transmission, rebuilt NP208 transfer case, new driveshafts front and rear, new ujoints in front axle. This truck is a 3/4 ton 4x4 with Chevy HD dually adapters on it.

New doors, fenders, inner fenders. new paint about a year and a half ago. New 4 inch Rancho lift and dual Rancho steering stabilizers. New dark gray carpet, bench seat with dual armrests for each passenger, and a fold down center console/ cup holder. Black door panels from an old conversion truck, nice black faux leather with door pull straps and map pockets.

$6000 or I will sell for a little less with steel wheels and simulators.

I've seen this truck in person, ron is a standup guy and doesn't take shortcuts when he's building things.

I am not sure what will be next, I have a few trucks that I am working on and can't justify finishing another one until this one is gone.

I have a 94 Dodge single cab 4x4 dually cummins with a NV4500, 1995 Ford single cab 4x4 dually powerstroke with an automatic, 1986 Chevy single cab 4x4 dually that currently has a sbc/ sm465.

The Ford is cool because they never made a single cab F350 4x4 dually with a box on it, all of the 4x4 dually trucks were cab and chassis but this one was 2wd converted to 4wd so the rear axle width, wheel base and frame are correct for a dually box.
The Dodge is a drivetrain doner for the 86 Chevy, but I might put a big block in the Chevy instead of the Cummins.

That Ford is a rare one for sure, I have sold a lot of Crew Cab 4x4's that were dually conversions, (centurion, Centarus etc) but have not seen a Reg Cab.

Go with the Big Block Chevy for the 86, and save the Cummins for the Ford! that's what I did,...twice,...

Bump for a Nice ole Chevy!

I like the power of the powerstroke. The reason I have liked the 6.2 for so long is because I like driving it. The power band is steady and long, the cummins is like a light switch, it is powerful when in its powerband, but dead for 1200 RPM and really powerful for 800 where the powerstroke and the 6.2 have less power, but nice and steady power from 1000 to almost 3000 RPMs.
