2010 JK 2-door soft top - $14,500
First off, this has an ORANGE SALVAGE TITLE (small engine fire), NEVER WRECKED. That may turn you off, if so, you've been warned. Otherwise, continue reading.
Selling my (ex) wife's 2010 JK 2-door. Has only 16,000 miles on it.
Gray with gray cloth interior. Black sunrider soft top, full doors. NO power locks or windows.
Has the larger (optional) 255x70x16 Wranglers on aluminum wheels.
Mopar accessory "tire-tread" floor mats.
OEM Mopar trailer hitch and wiring (not yet installed, but I will).
Typical wear for a Jeep 1.5-2 years old - a couple of scuffs and scratches, no dents, nothing that shouldn't buff out.
What's wrong with it? Why does it have a salvage title? Easy. It had an engine fire. Everything has been replaced, and the Jeep runs/drives perfectly. We've put 3,000 miles on it since we got it. There are only 2 things not fixed yet - I haven't painted the hood, and the ABS module needs replaced (I put one from the wrong year on it, and it doesn't communicate I was told). Otherwise, you can never tell this was in a fire.
The hood isn't even warped, it just blistered the paint off, but didn't even get hot enough to burn through the e-coat on it - basically everything plastic and rubber under the hood was replaced.
$14,500 FIRM takes it, and I will have the hood painted for the new owner (my buddy is the head painter for one of the better shops in Kalamazoo).
Vehicle has obviously been inspected and we've been driving it since this summer.
For those that've never owned one before, the MAJOR insurers and banks don't care if it's a salvage title - once it has a rebuilt title (this does), they treat it like a non-salvage vehicle. And since it was never in an accident, there are none of the safety concerns about frame repairs and straightening, etc...
Will post a pic later today (forgot to snap some when I left the house).
PS - for an extra $500 I will throw in a set of (4) 295x75x16 Nitto Terra Graplers (30%+ tread) and (5) brand new 16x8 Eagle Alloy wheels to match the lift you know you want to put on it!
