Aluminum Clear Coat for wheels?

I was going to strip and paint my rims but that is just going to be more work then I have time for. So I"m cleaning up the aluminum that had a clear coat or some sort of coating on it and want to re-clear coat them.

So, anybody know of a good product to clear coat bare aluminum that will last a few years in Michigan salt?

I had used the Duplicolor wheel paint on the Brembo calipers on my Charger.
That was 4 years ago and it has beening holding great since.

I used the duplicolor rim paint w/ clearcoat and it seems to be holding up pretty good

I cleaned them up pretty good yesterday with a fine wire wheel. How bad will they get if I don't put anything on the aluminum? Do I need to have a product on top of the aluminum? The problem was the original clear coat was mostly off and it looked like hell, peeling just looking like crap.

there going to get bad as soon as the salt hits it.

Duplicolor engine enamal holds up pretty good in the weather, they make a clear, it hold sup to temp ( not needed I know) it goes on really smooth, and its usually pretty hard to get off, seems like powder coat.

I have use it on parts and there is some seuface rust after about 10 years but these are parts theat get abbused, the paint is still on them though.

I call that paint the next best thing to powder coat, used it for years on all sorts of projects looks good cleans right up and holds up well.

Pm amundaza and see if he can give it a clear powder coat. his oven is big enough to do all the wheels. Once the clear coat is baked on its as tuff as nails.
It wouldnt cost that much to do all 4 wheels.
