Did a little work on this today, pulled valve springs and verified installed heights and pressures. John is gonna get the motor cleaned up and hope to degree the cam in the coming week.

I had to let my engine builder spend time with his wife..............That, and I didn't have the engine clean enough for him to do what he needed to do.

The engine looks really good all cleaned up. When are you expecting to have it buttoned up and back in?

Finished cleaning the headers tonight, after welding the bungs, and rebending the front tubes to clear the spark plugs. Added a little ceramic paint tonight, we'll have to wait and see how long it holds up.

Final coat of paint went on the block this morning, I hope it handles the heat:

That does not look blue to me, I even tryed adjusting the setting on my monitor and nope....not blue. Should be better than ever when you get it back together and it's nice to see you found someone to take the time and do things right to help.

I know, I know................(head hung low in shame)..........
I am going to Air-brush on the oil pan in caligraphy "Should be a Ford", so that everytime I'm underneath it, repairing it........I will have a reminder.

I've been doing some research, and I had a couple "old car" guys recommend this oil for my engine.

The Brad Penn® Penn Grade 1® High Performance Oil
** contains a higher level of anti-wear (ZDDP – zinc dialkyldithiophosphate)**

Anybody on here know anything about it, or have used it, or want to comment on it?
