Those engine mounts look vulnerable to heat.

The top section (green section) are made from the latest HV9147 spec qualifications and heat resistant to 2,300 degrees. Should be no problem

Moisture factor is still in R&D but again should be no problem.

Big thanks to Alumcj from Motor City Machines for helping me out last night. I had some 2" 1/4 wall tubing to bend and Alumcj helped me bend it since I did not have a 2"die. Bending this stuff is sketchy for sure, infact we actually broke the die doing it. luckily it was in a reapairable spot and everyone was OK when it happend.

I will say its not a good feeling when the bender says KABOOOM....

We also cut out some brackets and frame gussets.

This build is stuck in slow motion but its better than no motion....lol

Thanks again Mike!!!!

If you're up for some reading, this may help you out. But it sounds like oyu may have a bit of this experience available through others. Good luck.

I want to make prerunner fenders and bedsides. there is one company that makes some but I dont like them at all. plus the bedsides are stock size and I want to stretch this around 20"

Plus if I make a mold If I rip one off I can just make another. I have searched every way possible. even fabing ranger bedsides but nothing will get me exactly what I want unless I custom make them myself.

Trying to figure out what muffler to run. I have only ever had Flowmaster in the past and I think I want a change. any suggestions? I will be running the drivers side looped back to the front of the engine and it will cross over to the passanger side and run back as one. Engine is a blown 4.6 3 valve. Im thinking a Borla XR1 or a magnaflow?? Any Ideas of what would be a good sounding muffler for this set up, I know this will be a loud set up but I want to try and keep it as quite as possible....

How quiet do you want it? Dynomax make some nice mufflers that are kinda quiet but still flow nicely and give you decent sound. I have all kinds of info on Dynomax, FloPro, Flowmaster and just about any other muffler. Borla is about the only manufacture that I can't get a good price on. We will have to get together one night after work or the weekend and I can take a look at what you got. Would Tuesday work for you?
