If you haven't decided on a muffler the dynomax ultraflows work really well sound great and flow like crazy. You can get 3 and 3 1/2 inlet/outlets in a 6" round stainless version and up to 4" in the welded ones.

Thanks, I have not decided as of yet. I was thinking either magnaflow or dynomax. I will look into the ultraflows.

but is the 6" round forestry approved? when i was searching for a muffler most of the round ones were straight thru mufflers like the deisel mufflers. that would not pass the stick test as a forestly approved muffler. at least that was my understanding.

Thanks to an awesome tech write up I seen on pirate, last night I converted my 205 to a twin stick set up. It was very easy to do and took very little time. And the cost to convert the actual case was $0.00. Everything bench tested good. Hopefully it all works the same under power.

Only problem now is I need to get two stock shifters, anyone have any stock 205 shifters laying around?

I might have mine left over. I did the same to my case a couple weeks back. Really is simple isn't it? With my case clocked and now twinstick modded i am not 100% sure how i am gonna do the shifters yet. If i don't end up using it ill let you know.

From michigan.gov for Silver Lake State Park
Quote:
(a) Vehicles shall be equipped with a muffler and spark arrester containing baffles, shall meet the muffler and spark arrester requirements specified in subsection (g) of section 81133 of Part 811, Off-Road Recreational Vehicles, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, Act 451 of the Public Acts of 1994, being Section 324.81133 (g) of the Michigan Compiled Laws and shall successfully pass a muffler and spark arrester baffle test. A vehicle shall successfully pass a muffler and spark arrester baffle test by preventing passage of a flexible, plastic rod,no larger than 3/8-inch in diameter, through the muffler and spark arrester when inserted through the exhaust outlet and/or visual inspection.

(b) A maximum noise level of 94 Db(A), or the current EPA emissions limit, shall be met. The testing provisions of current SAE J 1287, June 93 standard for ATV and motorcycle vehicles and SAE J 1169, March 93 for all other vehicles shall be followed and all vehicles shall pass a stationary sound level test. The stationary sound level test shall be administered from a 0.5 meter (19.69 inches) distance at one-half the engine's maximum rated RPM and as further described by current testing provisions for the particular vehicle.
A flow through muffler will not only fail the stick test, but probably also the sound portion as well.

Edit: I've asked before and a piece of window screen does not qualify as baffling. They check this by pushing/pounding pretty damn hard to make sure your baffling is permanent

Silver Lake sure isn't very strict about it though, I've been there in some pretty loud vehicles and had friends in even louder ones and none of us have ever been questioned.
