Default WJ seats into a WK Grand?

This might be a long shot, but I figure it might be worth asking here, a friend of mine wants to upgrade the look of his 06 Grand Cherokee with leather seats. I have called around to what junkyards I can find and so far no one has ANY WK's. So what I am wondering is will WJ seats bolt into a WK Grand Cherokee either directly or with a bracket swap? I thank you for any help you can provide, and I also thank you on behalf of my friend.

I know the wj seats will swap to an xj and i know that the WK seats will not so based on that I would say that the wj to wk would not be a direct swap.

That is based on a bracket swap though isn't it? If that won't work, any idea if the WJ seat AND bracket will swap over? Thanks again,

I know that the bolt pattern between an xj seat and a wj seat are the same....so i can take a wj seat and bolt it to the xj seat frame....however i know that the bolt pattern for the wk seat is not the same so i cannot bolt the wk seat to the xj seat frame....i would bet that the wj and wk seat frames are different and would not be a direct bolt in if you tried to swap the seat frame and all....best shot would be find a wk and look at the seat frame and take messurments to compare to the wj seat frame.....hope this helps some

06 wk has weight sensors and position sensors in the passenger seat for airbag deployment. Not really a good idea to try and swap oddball seats in.

trying to put WJ seats into a WK is going to be along the lines of trying to put Explorer seats into it. two completely different platforms from different generations. completely different wiring.

that being said, with custom brackets, i'm sure you can make them fit, but the floorpans are completely different, so the factory brackets will be useless.
