custom front bumper built by previous owner its 2x3 3/16 wall tubing. I have 1-3/4" round tube im getting ready to bend up some new front and rear bumpers with. I'm going to make the new front one to hold my winch and build a reciever into the rear one. And going to make a fold-away 5th tire carrier for the rear receiver.

Well as of now I haven't done a damn thing with the new one. But my plan is to take my time do this V6 swap TH350 into it and start doing some body work. Then modify up some other stuff interior wise. I just got engaged over christmas so this pry wont be complete for a while. I'm shooting to have it out for a maiden voyage on July 4th. I like this thing it seems to be good fun so im gonna try and go a lil over the top but on a budget.

Why the 2.5 instead of a 4.3. Not knocking it. Just curious.

I planned to keep it as light as possible I ended up with a 2.8L . Idk just wanted to be different and keep this as open and light under the hood as possible. the 2.8L is if what i found is right 115lbs lighter than the 4.3L . plus with how much smaller it is it will make it easy to work on under the hood. And im using the stock axles and divorced tcase and i really only do two tracking and mild mud. So i didnt need to over power and possibly break parts. This should be a good power to weight ratio. Stock had 63hp 70ish ftlbs i should now be around 140hp and 160ftlbs when done. And it should only be a total of 200lbs heavier @ max

Future plans to be done by the end of march:
-build up the 2.8l just a bit(weber carb , h.e.i , headers , & exhaust)
-have TH350 made into a short tail
-build new rear bumper
-rip out and replace factory wiring harness & rewire just lights and turn signals
-cutout's
-l.e.d. tails and front turn signals
-winch mount for front bumper
-redo the fuel cell box in back/add storage beside it
-wire 2x group 31 deep cycle batteries in back for winch & it'll also balance the weight of the new motor in front.
-power steering conversion
-replace/fix all the brakes and lines
-then finally take for a drive cross my fingers and hope for the best. lol

x4. Carbs were only used on vehicles for over 70 years, they obviously have no place in any build and will confuse people on the internet if you use them.

Hey all i wanted was to be simple if you'd like to come and pay for and wire up my efi I'd honestly like to have it but for as far as funds and availability as to getting the e.f.i. wired in there just not there for me. When i said i wanted basic and stripped down I meant it. I'm only gonna run the bare minimum needed to make it run and drive without anything fancy to lead to a possible breakdown.

Tons of soccer moms out there depend on their vans to start every morning. None of them know how to adjust a float level or adjust jetting for tempature and altitude.

I disagree completely. Are you ever planning to do anything with hills or any off camber wheeling? In other words . . do you plan on ever wheeling outside of MI?

Search for Mike Sova on here. His dad as a really nice TinTop and might be source if you have questions.

I have no plans on doing much with steep hills like I said I mostly 2 track on mild trails slight angles the steepest thing I may try would be @ silver lake. Mostly just sneaking thru tight trails. I'm going to Harlan but only to do the level 1-3 trails nothing crazy just more of a site seeking person now a days. I like to get out to stuff and watch ppl break there shit. My buddy's wrangler is set up real nice so mostly i go out to where were going the girl's pile in mine and take pics and me & him go in the jeep and mess around. I had my fair share w my Z71 / Tracker / & s.a.s. ZR2 so now i just wanna make it to watch ppl mess there's up. lol

yea i understand why ppl all hate carbs but if you know what your doing and tune it right there not bad. I did have t.b.i. on the z71 and multiport on the zr2. but before that i started off w my first build w a lifted 84' s10 on 31's w/350 and full edelbrock kit heads intake cam carb headers the works and had zero issues in cold or hot weather or offroad. & the tin top sami is a summer toy it'll never see michigan salt/snow so its weather range wont very to much anyways.
