Default help IDing 10 bolt axles and t-case

hey,

i found a locker for a 10 bolt, 28 spline chevy axle... for $100

my truck is built from multiple trucks....so i have no idea what i have.... bought it this way... just about everything looks custom or modified

71 cab front clip...
84 step side box(i changed this from a 71 fleet side)
78-81 350 engine with passenger side dipstick
3 speed auto.... not sure if 350 or 400
frame beleived to be a 71.... appears modified all over the place... maybe it was a 71 2wd frame.. that is what i was thinking

no idea on what axles or t-case is.... just that it is 6 lug so it is a half ton

so i got on line and compared pics to my axles and T-case... it appears i have 10 bolt axles front and rear.... but are the 28 spline or 30 spline? any way to tell without tearing it apart?

http://www.jegs.com/p/Powertrax/Lock...45940/10002/-1

and i think my t-case is a 203 or 205.... it is a steel case.... 4wd shifter is for a 203, but it is so sloppy cant tell if they is 4 (for 205) or 5 (for 203)shift positions

http://www.chuckschevytruckpages.com/drivetrains.html

the main point to all of this will the locker fit my truck? i hate not knowing what everything is

Looks to me like a 10 bolt rear too. To be sure on spline count, I think you would want to pull the diff cover and see if you can either see the end of the axles in the carrier to count splines, or see the valleys in the side gears and count them.

ha ha....$400 isnt close enough.... i have 2100 into so far

when its finished, i bet you wont think its junk... but there will also be a couple thousand more into it

trying to build a budget(ish)trail rig, that is also cool looking.... and not to put as much into it as my blazer... that i am afraid to breathe on
