Default **SOLD** 1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4x4 Easy Project $2,500 **SOLD**

1991 Jeep Wrangler YJ 4x4 Ė Easy Project

CJ Front Clip
2.5 4 Cyl. Fuel Injected
Mileage is only 40K on the motor. Total mileage is 105K
5 Speed Manual Trans AX-5
Stock Axles: Front Dana 30, Rear Dana 35. 4:11 Gears
2Ē Body Lift
Hard Top w/ Rear Wiper
Full Hard Doors
Sport style Roll Bar (not family style)
Steel Diamond Plate Rocker Panels and Rear Corners

I traded for this Jeep a while back and was going to build it the way I wanted it, but I bought another one already built so I am going to put this one up for sale.

This Jeep is completely solid. I have had it for about a year. The guy I got it from, got it about 7 years ago after the previous owners hit a deer and has been working on it until I got it. He took the body off, fixed the tub floors, sandblasted and painted the frame and put it back together with a CJ clip as the YJ clip was smashed from the deer. Any bad or weak factory welds in the frame have been re-welded. It has new brakes, clutch, radiator, battery, starter, alternator, power steering pump, exhaust, sensors, fuel pump, fuel injectors, and other stuff Iím forgetting.
It has new door weather stripping and new corner gaskets for the hard top. It has a 2Ē body lift. There are no rust holes on the body. And no rust holes in the frame where the shackles attach. There are a few spots on the body that I have not finished sanding down the filler where some dents were in the right side cowl and left front fender, but there is no filler to cover up any holes. The diamond plate has some large bolts in it, I did not care for this look, so I do have a bag of smaller counter-sunk bolts that comes with the Jeep that will sit flush when installed.

It runs awesome. I have driven it around the block a few times and had it up to 65. I have put about 5 miles on it, but you will want to trailer it home.

The frame has been painted an Olive Drab Green

The body has been painted a textured Olive Drab Green (not my thingÖ, as you can see I started sanding it off.) It is not super thick or rough. You could sand it off easily or just leave it on.

The inside has been painted a textured Black, but probably should be redone.

It needs a bunch of little stuff done to it, mostly just bolt on stuff. Probably a few full Saturdays.

I do have a brand new Rough Country 4Ē suspension lift and a bolt kit for it too if whoever buys it wants to buy that too for $450 OBO.

I have a brand new set of Bushwacker style fender flares that I will sell for $200.

I also have a used bikini top, back window, bed cover thing for it. Just no full soft top.

What still needs to be done to get this Jeep on the road?

Needs windshield installed (it comes with the new glass)
Needs Tires (it just has a set of mismatched rollers on it now)
Headlights and turn signals (not included)
Mirrors (not included)
Hood hold down hardware (not included)
Bumpers (not included)
Center Console (not included)
Needs Sway Bar Links (not included)
Possibly needs new Left Front leaf spring (it leans that way, but I was planning on replacing the springs to put a lift on it so it didnít bother me)
Seat belts may need to be replaced as they are sometimes hard to pull / retract.
Probably needs some other stuff Iím forgetting

I am going to offer it here first before I list it on CL so come and get it.

$2,500 FIRM! CASH ONLY! NO CHECKS! NO TRADES! Sold As Is. Clear Title. I would like it out of my garage ASAP.

Please do not contact me if you do not have cash, need to get a loan, or have to ask permission to buy it. First one with the cash gets it!

I can only show it after 7:30 PM during the week. If you want to drive it, it will have to be on the week-end when itís light out, since it has no head lights.

Price for the condition (needs finishing) its in. We're in tough economic times you know. I'd give you $1500. Cash of course like you asked and I could get it out of your garage this weekend.

Thanks for looking and the reply, but I think it's worth more than that with the rust free body and frame and newer motor. I tried to price it realistically and all the YJ's in that price range that I've seen usually have rotted out bodies and/or frames and need motor or trans work. For around $4K by the time it's done someone could have a like new wrangler.

I know it's tough economic times, but I just sold my snowmobile, trailer, 4 guitars and some other stuff so it must just be hit or miss on certain items.

Thanks Again,
Dan

Fair enough. The "tough economic times" part was a joke. Just helping you with excuses why it hasn't sold yet. I'm looking for a project but was looking for a 4.0, but I'm still interested. When I get serious I'll pm you a better offer and we'll see if we can work something out. Thanks

Sure! Send me an email address and I'll send pics tomorrow. They are on my work computer. They are brand new. They are EXACTLY like the YJ flares EXCEPT they have a very small cut out to fit on a CJ front fender.

Thanks for the sale Tab! Great to meet you as well! I hope your ride back was better than the snowy morning ride here. I look forward to seeing pics of what the Jeep will become.

He's already complaining about it.........................

Not really. He says it's in great condition and he's happy with it.
