Default Project I'm a cheapass

Picked this Ranger up for $400, runs and drives, but needs a bed, and a battery. Planning on a leveling kit, 31s, a bed. and bed liner the whole thing in a red or blue.
Here is how it was dropped off

Picked up a bed for $150

Truck - $400
Bed- $150
Tires(already have to @ 90%) $300
Rough county leveling kit- $120
Taillights- $45
Recon Battery- $20
Roll on bed liner for paint $90-180
Locking hubs $120
Sell the cap $100
Scrapping the bed and other stuff in it $50
Selling the old tires and rims $100

So that adds up to $995-1,085 depending on whether i need one or two gallons of bed liner to paint the body.

And what made this whole sale worth while, this little gem I found in the bed

Well the more I look into it i've already for like $1,100 into stuff I ordered or need to order, so I'm guessing it'll be more like 12-1300 build, still not a bad deal.

I already have 2 80% 31x10.50, so if i find a pair of used m/t for under $100, it should put my build back under $1000.

Why did the pink scooter make it worth while? Are you planning on starting a scooter gang to help protect you from wedding crashers?

took me just one gallon of bed liner to do a ranger once, but after about 2 years in the sune it started to shrink and the (for lack of a better way to dercribe it) the paint started showing thru a little. I prepped the hell out of the bed i dont think that was the problem i have heard that it happpens to many who do it themselves. I would have at that time maybe coated it again but didnt look bad enough for me to really care and still worked great.

Thus far I have 550 into my ex, that needed a motor (had a spare motor), bought 33's and one inch spacers for 300 and some 16 inch rims for 60. Still have yet to do a damn thing with it.

Sold the cap for $60, so I have $490 into as of now, and should have the bed on tmw.

Haven't really had time to mess with this much, but the bed is on, put about 20 miles on it today, seem to run and drive well. Just need new tires, new taillight, new starter(i think), and figure out why it starts and stalls twice before it will idle.

Are you going to have the highboy running while you're working on the ranger?

My buddy had a set of those tires in a 285 on his f-150 and they were the cat's meow. He could go through just about anything.
