Default Bought my first handgun today.

Can't wait to get into a class I have not shot a lot, but I shot one of these last weekend and it really fit my hand nice.

Those guns are a great deal for the price. Are they still doing the $50 mail in rebate?

I don't believe so as the gun shop didn't tell me if they were. I got what I felt was a great deal on it anyway.

Hoohaw, look around some more, funshops down here are selling the M&P's for right around $400, which is a great price, on a fantastic pistol.

I almost bought a Sigma, until I realized I could buy the M&P for not much more, I love my M&P40c

i was very unhappy with the one i got in on trade, trigger was the biggest thing, i fixed that and i just could not get a decent group out of it. seemed to be real loose and fit and finish had a lot to be desired.

I plan on taking the class, for a lot of the tips and such and maybe get the option to carry.

It seems kind of large for a carry weapon to me. I would want at least 500-1000 rounds with it before I consider it though. I would want to be pretty damn comfortable with it before I do.

Should carry pretty easily. I carry a bigger, heavier Glock 19 every day, no problem.

I was just looking to have something in the house as the economy goes down the shitter, a shotgun is next

A carry option was at the bottom of my list, I wanted something that I enjoyed shooting so I can go target practicing with my friends, and maybe have in the home for protection. I planned to take the class though for all the knowledge and to learn to use it properly.

Carrying is a lot of responsibility, this gives me the option, but I want to be damn sure I am ready to do it before I do.

Exactly what I bought and carry after shooting a friends sigma. I was not aware of a trigger fix for the terrible trigger on that gun. I will be letting him know about it because that is my (and his) only real complaint with the Sigma, it is a solid quality gun overall but the trigger sucks.

This is exactly why I bought my Sig P226, larger bodied gun since it is more comfortable to shoot and more accurate for target. I also took the class for the knowledge and to give me the option to carry and have since started carrying at times. The larger guns are still nice to carry. I personally like carrying something I am more comfortable with and can control better. my $.02
