Default Debate at Oakland University

Any of our stellar members going to be in attendance?

A few folks from my office were attending and I had the opportunity but had other commitments I needed to attend to. Even though I cannot see myself voting for any of those candidates in the general election, it still would have been interesting to be there.

I sat in on the "Watch Party" at a building half way across campus with ~330 other people. Got to see and listen to Snyder, Schuette (AG), Ruth Johnson (SOS) and Randy Richardville (Senate Majority Leader). Patterson walked in but didn't say anything.

Everybody in the banquet rooms got to be the "Ask The Audience" lifeline with little hand voting remotes. So when you see the CNBC polling graphic they used....yeah, your welcome for those stats.

From what I understand, only 60 students and 10 faculty were in in the audience. A friend of mine (with a full curly shoulder length head of hair) got to be part of the production staff and was the stand in for Jim Cramer before he got on to do Mad Money. Cramer wasn't too pleased about it.

I thought last night was interesting but didn't see anything that changed my mind about anyone. IMO, Huntsman, Perry and Bachman should be out right now.

Perry is out after his mistake. I actually felt bad for him

IMO, last nights debate left three people in it. Cain, Newt, and Romney. but why the hell did Romney continue to stare down everybody who was talking? That was creepy as hell.

I really enjoyed the fact that the CNBC anchors were the moderators, since they're all left wing people. Cramer is annoying as hell and I think he believed he was a candidate. Newt really put the smackdown on that Bartiroma bizatch.. That was funny.

So I heard some snippets from this on the radio this morning. Since when were debate questions about tabloid gossip? I know she tried to spin it into the whole truth and honor thing, but to me that seemed about as cheap as you could get.

Yup, Newt made it clear that he has no respect for her or her accusations. I also thought Romney did a good job of throwing the tabloid shit back at them.

As funny as the princess Nancy line was, it really didn't help Herman too much. They're going to play it up that he has no respect for women.

Rumor was people did / were going to the "freedom rights area" across from the arena dressed as Hitler holding pictures of Cain reading "Nein-Nein-Nein"
