You are correct, we are very blessed in this country. If only the protesters went to a third world country then and only then would they be thankful for what they have.

Move to africa if you want, i am going to stay here and enjoy my wonderful life. My ancestors made this country the way it is with blood sweat and tears. not their own, they were to smart for that.

I saw what you did there. .

It's healthy to realize that we are truly blessed in this country. Recession or not. I'm not saying we should all give up our 'wonderful lives' and live in a forest. It's just a good perspective check.

Funny, I haven't mentioned anything about changing what you're doing. .

I'm not going to say that every third world person would change who they are, but I woudl wager that a good amount of them would take the abundance that "the 99% (protesters)" have and be completely content with it.

Just to be clear, you see people with no running water, no electricity, no access to health care, ETC; every day?

yes. It may seem impossible in your little civilized bubble there in MI, but out here running water and power are luxuries in many areas. At my cabin I have to haul water in and I have a gasoline genset to provide power. I know an old lady who laid in bed and died of pneumonia because she couldnt get to medical care. I see these damn injuns get handout after handout and still live in poverty. there is a nice housing division in wyoming that the gov built for the redmen, they moved in and stripped the houses of water lines, wiring, siding and windows to buy dope and booze. I say fukc anyone who isnt willing to pull themselves up out of their situation, I know I would walk over them on my way to a better place.

Huh, Didn't know that. I guess I could understand where you're coming from. However, You're talking about 3rd world country conditions in the US. They have a choice.

if the tribes in Africa ever stop killing eachother they might rise above. Just like the trash in Detroit they are too dumb to rise above.
I wasn't racest until I met the average african-"american".

I love the USA. I'm confused on why this makes me a fag. Doesn't make sense to me? You 'hate' our country so you're a homosexual? is that what you're trying to say? I'm confused.

You may not like it, but there is a difference then poverty and third worldness. Poverty you can usually get out of, You have may have the resources but you squander them on stupid things. Like drugs. Third worldness (because I can't think of a better word) you don't have the resources or the way of getting them. Not because you're selling your stuff for drugs but because you just have nothing.

Also, I've found that most people that call other people tools are, in fact, the bigger tool them selves.

That's just Stevo, he calls everyone and everything a fag or a faggot. Take it with a grain of salt. But I do understand what he is talking about. It's the same thing as our Detroiters who bitch and moan about their living situations and lack of jobs and money but are are rolling around on 24's. If the opportunity is there to better yourself and your living and you don't jump on that, then you desreve to live the way that you have been. And as far as the excuse of the conditions in Africa not allowing them to better themselves, you always have an option. It may not be an easy one, but you always have an alternative. There are plenty of right off the boat Africans bettering themselves here in Michigan with no one to depend on but themselves.

Both you guys make good points. But to clarify what L4CX is saying.
Injuns = have a way out and even though they have education available to them, their culture won't take advantage of it.
Africans = have no way out and no education = hopeless.

Oh, I know it's just how Steveo is. I was trying to be funny. Doesn't always work.

I still don't think a starving child in africa has the opportunity to hop on a boat and come to the USA. Most don't make it past 10.

My wife and I participated in a Vollyball Tourney that raised money for Mosquito nets. They also had a little speaker guy talk about his mission trips over there. The parents over there are so grateful for a 12 dollar net. They usually try and cram as many of thier children into them as they can. They're grateful because if they didn't have those nets (that they have no access to with out the missionary) they'd loose thier kids to some simply curable disease. They just don't have the same options as we do.

I work with directly with two people who were born and raised in Africa. There's a way out.
