Default Deer + Motorcycle @ 60MPH = Me

I hit a Deer this morning on my motorcycle. I looked away for a second and boom, there it was. I had just gotten up to 60.

I have a few scrapes and that's it. As far as I can tell. They made me go home from work though. I crashed about 500 ft from the camp (my job) entrance. Everyone of my co-workers stopped and made sure I was ok. We even ended up taking the bike to the maintenance shops in the backhoe bucket.

Many may say it's luck that I'm not hurting. I don't. I think it's truly God looking out for me. Anywho, I know you guys want pictures. So...here we go.

We'll do the bike first

It skidded on it's side for about 50-60 ft. ground a hole right through the water pump cover.

You can see where the bike skidded. It actually goes 15-20 ft past that car (MSP Cruiser)

This is how we got it to the Shops at camp. Never knew you could fit a motorcycle in a backhoe bucket. Not a great way to figure out though.

Front fairing is toast. Along with the Speedo and fairing mount. Seems like a perfect opportunity to go Street Fighter.

I'll make another post with the damage to me.

Default Bloody Pictures Not for the weasy.

Right Knee

Left Knee

Right Elbow

Left elbow

Right Foot in the boot. Pretty sure my stealies kept me from loosing more skin on my foot. Have to get new boots though. Oh well, I have my life, Good enough for me.

Right foot outside the boot (probably the worse scrape I have).

And I have to get knew pants.....My wife called these my "nice pants". Not anymore. :D They'll still work for work pants though.

Oh, and the other victim of the crash. Can't be more then 2 years old. One more reason I KNOW God had his hand in this. Had that been a full sized buck, I wouldn't be typing this.

BTW, I didn't keep the deer. We dont have anywhere to store the meat. If we did, I would have kept it for the (little amount) of meat it had on it.

^^^ I'd been meaning to put on the sleaves of my Motorcycle Jacket for about a week. Wish I would have. I'd have skin on my elbows still. I had a few layers on which helped. Were you referring to the boots?

Glad that your ok and not dead or horribly injured but how do you know it wasn't one of Satan's minions? Maybe they just wanted to see you get slightly injured, like a good slap to the nuts and they are rolling on the floor laughing. Just saying the God I believe in wouldn't let a deer walk infront of my motorcycle.

what God is that, and please point to the source of that information...

My God is Jesus, he's a fantastic landscaper. He's always telling me these wonderful stories of How he walked across the Rio Grande and fed a truck full of followers on a few McFillets and bud light clamato.

Just saying if God protected him couldn't the Devil Have to the deer to walk out? Maybe we're all part of a big cosmic joke.

I'd like to know what God you're talking about. The God I believe in tests us. If he really wouldn't let his believers get hurt then what happened with all the Martars of the faith? Job, Noah, Moses, the Israelites, Heck, even Jesus him self. They all suffered and where tested far worse then hitting a Yearling with a motorcycle. God tests our character by putting us through trials.

Did God place that deer there? I don't know, But I do know that he's waiting to see how I respond to his Protection through out the whole thing. I shouldn't be in this good of shape for hitting pavement at ~50-60 MPH.

Dang! Glad you are ok. On a brighter note I made it to work unscathed in my Fiesta cage. A little bit of bird shit on my car's grill, but I will address that later.

Perhaps I should have been a bit more specific in pointing out that there was no need to shit on, parody, or post conflict with his religious beliefs.

For one thing, there's a sub-forum for that...

My God is the Mexican version of your God, he's cooler cause he has a low rider.
