Default 98 cummins 4x4 diff. engage.

I have a 98 cummins 4x4.can't seem to get the front axle to lock in.I feel vacume down at the disco.is there a vacume switch on the t-case? Can I manually lock the front diff in? Any help would help.thanks

It is common for the CAD to go out in these. The opptions you have are to replace the CAD with a new one, get a posilok kit or pull the CAD and permanantly lock the fork in the engaged posision. Once you pull it off it is pretty easy to figure out how to accomplish this.

I had the posi lock on mine and it was a nice upgrade. Not to expensive either.
