It does float in there, but it's captive. The shock length and limit strap won't allow it to stretch far enough for the spring to actually fall out. Make sense? When I install the shocks and limit straps I will take a pic to better show it.

It has always worked well for me. Originally I was going to try to retain the springs but then never had an issue so I didn't.

Putting together my nitrogen setup to fill the shocks. I have no idea and either me or Google are stupid today because I can't seem to find the answer. How big is big enough for the bottle? 5#, 10#?

I've been trying to score a cheap nitrogen regulator on ebay for my shocks and I just couldn't. Lots of 100psi medical versions, but nothing that goes to 400psi. So I ended up getting a new one. Got a hose from a CO2 paintball setup and a no-loss air chuck. 119 bucks including shipping, which is less than any of the kits already made up. I grabbed a 20 cubic foot tank to start with.

Pulled my muffler and cat down and it's kinda beat, LOL.

I scored a set of 2.25" and 3" mandrel bends on ebay so I can start putting it back together.

I'm starting over all the way from the headers this time and picked up a nice merge from Summit.

Just waiting for my header collectors to show so I can start.

Worked on the exhaust today, friggin time consuming. I'm happy with how it turned out though.

Anybody have luck with do it yourself ceramic coating? What works and what doesn't? I don't really want to send it off if I can do it myself.

WOW, nice work. I'd like to build some nice exhaust for mine someday, hopefully including some turbo piping.

I mocked up one to go around the front and I ran out of room for the control arm. Plus it's really tight to the back of the axle. This route was the clear winner for me.

Does this help.

Finally got my front shocks and a little time to start working on it again.

FOA 2.5"

This would be a great name for a dune rig :)

One side almost done. Need to come up with an way to mount the reservoirs still.

Rear reservoirs mounted.

Front reservoirs mounted.

Final set up on the front - 4" up and 7" down. Set my limit straps at 11".

And finally...

First time holding its own weight in a long time! Maybe next week I will even clean my shop enough to get it outside.
